lol, yea it would, you're right but I like to get em close, the bullet has less of a jump from its seat to the rifling. I loaded some that the bullet set on the land. I think they were 2.315. had to feed them in single shot and it didnt increase accuracy at all. Ive also loaded them as short as 2.125 and they were fine. all about pref I guess.

I started to watch the first vid, I couldn't see anything,(well darn little), too dark. Then you should have given the camera man a tranq. he's not holding the camera steady.
Not having the time to sit through it, and not needing the info, what with 40+ years of experience, it may help educate some beginners. Nice pony tail BTW!

Hey Helz,
You do steps (by way of order) a bit differently than I do my 223 but I have to say, this video set was cool to watch. I do think you will help some noobies out and I also appreciated that you were safety consious. Tip of the hat, Mate. LGB

Good vid Helz. Just like they say...."a picture is worh 1,000 words". A vid like that would have been great back when I started "back in the day".

Yep videos are great when you are starting out thanks for taking the time to make and post em. There is nothing like seeing something in action vs a description in a book or even just a picture

I have a qustion for the wiser. this is how RCBS says to do it. clean first then trimm my brass, then lube, then set up my press like this. station 1 : deprime / full length size. station 2 : prime station 3: powder charge station 4: powder check station 5: seating / crimping and being that when you full length size your brass it makes it stretch so Ill have trimmed them first at say 1.755, (1.760 is max for an AR) when I go to use the press how it is intended Ill be stretching them to who knows what, maybe to long. Thats the only thing I dont understand about a progressive press. I always thought you had to full length size THEN trim to get a perfect shoulder and case length. am I correect or is there something Im missing.

you have been taught well grasshopper.
whoever helped you get started in reloading must have really known what he was doing, as well as being steely eyed, and clever, with such a magnetic personality, he is unable to carry credit cards............the most interesting man in the world, he doesnt always drink beer, but when he does, he prefers dos equis.

Hey Helz,
You did great and you learned great. I didn't mean to raise a flag. Really, the only thing I do different is I size/deprime, trim to length, deburr/champfer, and process primer pockets and flashholes, THEN I prime my cases. I prime after all the brass work is done then I run them through the 550B to basically charge the cases and then seat the bullets. Like I said in my first post, I really liked your vids. Put it this way, I have been doing this for some time (More than I would like to admit, actually) and I watched all four parts. I really enjoyed the vibe of vids. Plus, you seem very laid back and cool, too. It's good to have a great sense of humor and be able to use it on yourself once in a while as well. Again, Tip of the hat to you. I really liked your 2000 press by the way. LGB.

thanks man. nah you didnt raise any flags, its something Ive been questioning myself about for a while so i figured I would ask the wise old elders of reloading and it seems ive been doing it right as far as sizing then trimming. It just seemed weard because RCBS says to do it different with that press. I guess that press is made more for pistol then rifle, but it works great on both. and thanks again man. I hope my vids and those of others gets more people into reloading. Ide like everyone to know how enjoyable and relaxing it can be.
