I would like to have an XDm in 9 and/or 45, if/when that one is engineered.

A vote for the XD-V10

I picked up a used XD9 4 inch in the V10 (factory ported) version last year and I am very impressed with it.

It feeds and functions perfectly so far and I really like the fact that it doesn't jump much between shots.

Love my XD40. They only thing I didn't care much for was the trigger. That was easily correctly by buying the Powder River Precision Target Trigger kit. Incredible upgrade.

I own three XD's and they are all great guns

XD9sc, XD45c, XDm 40. The XDM is unbelievably accurate. They have all performed flawlessly.

I have had my XD-40 4in for 4 years now. I lost track of how many rounds I have put through it, but it should be in the 5000 range. I have never had a single malfunction of any type with mine. I bought it brand new for $499. I carry it regularly and have shot a few IDPA matches with it.

Last year, I purchased an XD40 service cheap ... like less than half of retail... at a pawn shop. The gun came with one mag and an Uncle Mike's LEO holster, nothing else.

It is rough... really rough. Finish is worn, barrel is cosmetically worn, feed ramp is well polished from use. I would have to say this had 10 - 15 thousand rounds through it. I am certain it was a former duty weapon.

I have fired approx. 500 rounds through it, everything from cheap & dirty police range reloads to the high-end personal defense loads. Never a failure to feed, fire, or extract. 100% reliability. It is horrendously ugly with all its wear and tear, but it's nightstand gun and my never sell piece.

Since I purchased it, I've cleaned and lubed it regularly with Rem-Oil, but nothing more than that. The gun show treated it to a couple extra magazines and a padded zippered case. I don't think it had ever seen such luxury!

I've had my XD9SC for over 4 years and myXD45 comp for about 2 years. Both are reliable, accurate and just plain shoot.

I miss my XD terribly and it's only been gone four days! It's at Springer Precision getting a combat/carry trigger job. It's an XD45 Compact and I like it very much. I shoot it better than any other gun I've ever fired. It's my 24/7/52 carry piece. I carry it in a Comp-Tac MTAC loaded with Federal HST +Ps. I've put more than 6,000 rounds through it without so much as a hiccup. Not too long after I bought it I installed a Lasermax guide rod laser and have put at least 4,000 rounds through it with the laser installed, also with zero issues. I recently added Trijicon night sights with the green front dot and yellow rears. I haven't gotten to shoot it in low light with the new sights but in dry fire practice they sure seem to be a fantastic upgrade. The contrasting dot colors are really something that I think you have to see in person to really understand their benefit. I'm eagerly awaiting the call from FedEx saying my XD is at their hub so I can pick it up. I've got a thousand rounds of Blazer Brass burning a hole in my ammo shelf so I think I'll call in sick the day it comes in....

XD45 Service here too. Very reliable pistol. Accurate enough and feels pretty good grip-wise for a polymer gun. Takes down with no tools in seconds. It's not one of those guns that I would "cherish" or whatnot but it gets the job done reliably every time which alone is worth more than I paid for it. Plus, 14 rounds of .45 ACP in a fairly slim grip is hard to argue with.

I used to ccw mine all the time but it got a little too big for me after a while. In the winter I'll bring it out sometimes but that grip is pretty long and it's pretty heavy too (especially with all those .45 rounds stuffed in there. ). Great pistol though. I just ran another hundred and some-odd rounds through mine yesterday.

Have four of them. All reliable, all good. Triggers are only alright out of the box, but can't fault the pistols I own as being reliable and decently accurate. My 5" tactical 9mm has the SA Custom Carry Package and is sweet to shoot. That one also has close to 12,000 rounds through it.

I bought a new XD-45 5-inch barrel last month and love it. I have only shot 100 rds due to low ammo supply.

I Like Em!

I have 2 and am considering trading one for or purchasing a Sub Compact.

The top left one is an XD 9mm HC 4' and the top right is an XD .40 S&W 5" Tactical.

The only problem is they don't make it in .45 yet . I hear rumors on both sides...some say it's coming some say they aren't working on it.

I had an XD40 Service model.
It had problems feeding certain types of ammo (Win. FMJs).
Fed most other ammo pretty well. But would FTF every 250 rounds or so
on some other FMJs (usually cheap reloads).
At one point the slide lock wouldn't engage after the last round. Then after
awhile it started to work again. It took me awhile to get used to the long
trigger pull. With a SA on a 1911 or CZ75 I never had to overcome their triggers, I just always shot well with them.
I personally think the gun is a little light for the .40 S&W. Recoil is
pretty snappy (but that's rather subjective).
At one point when I was reassembling, after cleaning, the barrel slipped
off its stop and the gun jammed and I couldn't move the slide. Took
it to a gunsmith who fixed it for $70.

I think overall it is a good pistol. With the right ammo it is reliable.
It definitely is accurate. I've hit targets (large ones) out to 100 yards.
But it just didn't fit me personally. Long trigger pull held me back
and follow up shots took longer then with a full sized (heavier) pistols.
(Note I mainly shoot a .357 magnum so it's not like I'm used to
a long trigger. But for a semi-auto I really like the true SAs)

Currently I have 5 of them. Guess I really like them. 45 Gap 5 inch, 45 ACP in 4 and 5 inch, 40 S&W in 4 and 5 inch.
Right now the one I want is the 357 SIG in a 5 inch. I haven't seen one at a show or dealer yet.

Good thread here.

Gun will jam up if guide rod assembly is not installed exactly on center. Easy fix but not the way you'd think to resolve the issue.

I like it just fine Thank You. XD-40 service , I haven't kept up with the rounds as well as I should have but I'm guessing around close to 2500 rounds with no malfunctions. It works.

I've shot the XDM in 9mm. It was nice. Been thinking of getting the .45 compact.
