Bullseye shooting - Sacramento, CA

Is there a Bullseye league near Sacramento or Folsom, Calif.?

The Mangan Range in the Greenhaven area of Sacramento is a city run indoor bullseye type range that may still have NRA bullseye matches. You can shoot for something like $3, but only at 20 or so yards.

Another place to check is the Folsom Shooting Club- IIRC they sponsor or promote IDPA/steel/IPSC and maybe bullseye.

Also, the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center, in Ione off Meiss Road, has at least one Rangemaster who is an old bullseye shooter.

I haven't shot at the Cordova Shooting Range in Rancho Cordova for a while, but they have a good retail store and may have info.

Mangan Range can be phoned through Sacramento City Parks and Recreation Dept (Mangan Park).

FSC & SVSC can both be found online through FSC's and IDPA's websites.

Thanks John - I might be doing some work down that way and would like to find a place to shoot. Shooting in a league isn't important, as long as I can practice.

For regular shooting, I prefer Sac Valley around here. It is a modern outdoor range, clean, and professionally run, with several ranges for different types of shooting.

For an indoor range, Mangan is closest, but seems dirty and crowded. Also, you can't adjust the target distance, which is the main advantage of an indoor range for me.

Stockton is the best indoor range "locally" that I know of anymore. Clean, modern, and a good staff. They are supposed to be building a new modern indoor range somewhere in Sacramento that should open by the end of the year.

I have heard good things about the Lincoln Rifle Club's range as well.
