Okay, I've stuck the thread. Later, I'll go through and do some editing and deleting so that we basically just have the "educational materials".

ared deer brain is about the size of a cricket ball. one of the things that often foxes starters is that the bone up to the shoulder (humurous i think) in a deer is so far forward. really a good broadside point of aim on a deer is half way up the body in line with the back of the front leg. this will take the top of the heart out and more importantly disconnect all of the big vessels there.

I've always stuck with the double-lung shoulder shot for most everything (with 4 legs) I'm hunting. A neck shot is also effective, but there is less room for error & if it doesn't hit just right, they'll still run a little.

Hunters anatomy of a feral hog
This article deals with the anatomy of the wild boar. GRAPHIC PHOTOS are used to illustrate the location of the heart, lungs, and spinal cord so hunters can better understand the proper KILL ZONE area.

Excellent stuff!! I've GOOGLED around a lot, and cannot find anything pertinent to USA pronghorn antelope.
I'd sure like to see a broadside "cutaway" view of pronghorn, especially if it clearly showed the diaphragm/stomach position relationship. Thanks, folks....... FjLee Denver CO |

i like the turkey one, it looks kinda freaky at first but if you look close you can really see the resemblance it has to a thanksgiving turkey. also helpful too because i plan to start turkey hunting sometime this year.

Elk x-ray target with placement shown for a heart shot 36x30 White paper with gridlines . (You can check Sportsman's depot for the target, and target show bones in relation to vitals rather well,)
