That is pretty neat.. I may have to take a look when they come available... it is inevitable that I will eventually get a Glock, but I am fighting it the whole way... maybe these will open the door for me.

hmmm the smallest back strap looks exactly like the gen 3 grip size. i don't think this is going to stop S&W m&p's from plowing through the LE market.

not sure i like that enormous mag release either (and i have small hands!)

Not much of a change even from my 1991 Gen 2 G17. Probably works pretty good though.

No more cheese grater grips. I might actually consider a glock now.

The grip texture is exactly what I want for the RTF. Though the grip didn't seem to be much smaller. To be honest, as a glock fan, I'm a bit disappointed. I really don't think the grip width was the problem, but the "cut" on the corners make it blocky. If they make it more of angular shape like Steyr M-A1, they can get away with the blocky grip.

There's more to it than just the grips.

I thought the Glock RTF was the gen 4?

RTF= Rough textured frame, also has new slide serrations. That pic in the first post seems a little fishy, because Glock doesn't refer to their own guns by "generation", so why would the slide be marked "gen 4"?

WOW!

That's so radically different at first I wasn't sure if it was really a Glock.

Rough texture frame two (RTF2) is a 3rd GEN option. RTF is the standard 2nd/3rd GEN frame, and the new GEN 4 has RTF3.

Looks like photoshop city to me. Look at the size of the magazine release, it looks like a poor cut and paste job. Even if it turns out to be the actual gun, its not too impressive. Glock finally decides to go with interchangeable back straps, only about a decade late.

"Perfection" needs different generations?

Whoever they used to come up with that marketing copy should be pistolwhipped with that Glock.

It's a scan of the 2010 Glock calendar.

Perhaps Glock photoshopped it themselves then. Look at the mag release on the RTF gun pictured and then at the mag release on the gen 4 gun. I understand that the gen 4 is supposed to be reversible, but that doesn't explain how it suddenly became huge. Also, the lack of the goofy RTF slide serrations is suspicious. At any rate I wasn't suggesting that you photoshopped it, the pic has been floating around on the net, so I suspected that someone did.

The 4th GEN has an enlarged reversible mag catch and standard Glock slide serrations. The picture was scanned by a Glock armorer from the new 2010 Glock annual calendar. People with hands on experience with the GEN 4 from law enforcement expos/demos have confirmed this is real.

Looks like the one I handled. The new grip texture is nice.

What's the deal with the worlds largest mag catch?
