Post Pictures of your Favorite Single Action

Hello,
This is my first post on this forum so please forgive if I don't get the picture thing right. If it works the picture is of a .500 Linebaugh built on one of the Accusport Bisleys. The conversion was done by David Clements. For now this is my favorite SA. I would like to see yours.

Well obviously this board is not overflowing with Single Action fans. They are my personal favorites. I do admit to owning several "Bottom Feedin self shuckers" but I hate chasing the brass. Seems if memory serves me(and it rarely does anymore) I prefered semi autos untill I got serious about reloading. Which by the way was about the time it started getting uncomfortable to walk around bent over to retrieve my brass.

That is one beautiful gun, fiveshooter. I'd be honored to have something like that in my collection some day - perhaps in a more... uh... managable caliber such as 41 or 44 Magnum. Or even 44 Special.

You did get the picture thing right and that is a exceptional custom revolver. No problem with launched e-housing with that express ring in place. Here's a basic model Ruger:

...so I won't waste the bandwidth with a poor quality pic.

The only single action I have is a Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine. They only came one way that I'm aware of, blue and 7-1/2" barrel, so you don't even have to use any imagination there. It does draw a curious crowd at the indoor range with its impressive fireball/sharp crack. Those bigger, 'badder' cartridges BOOM and are actually easier on my ears.

haha. I was suprised to see so many revolvers here. My first thought was "this thread's gonna have a lot of nice-looking 1911s in it."

but I guess that's because I'm more of a semi-auto person than a revolver guy.

Here's one I put together a few years ago. Started as a .45 convertable Blackhawk and I added the Bisley parts.

My Bis-Hawk is such an accurate shooter, I hate to take the downtime to get the grip frame properly blued...

I'll post mine as soon as my daughter comes home as she is the only person in the family with a digital camera! She's also the only one in the house that knows how to get a pic on the 'puter.

45 caliber shooter. its the gun I used to take 2 wild pigs and a rambolette hybrid sheep. (not on the same day) Its a ruger blackhawk in 45 caliber with a stainless grip frame action tune and jeweled hammer. Ivorex grips complete the package - for now I plan to add a belt mt basepin (keith style) and a bullseye ejector rod when time and finances allow.

Is my old model 41 magnum Ruger SA. It has been modified for serious hunting of just woods loafing(as Skeeter called it)
The grip frame and trigger have been replaced with steel ones from an old army revolver. the hammer is a superblackhawk old model style. It has been fitted with both a keith style belt mt basepin & a bullseye ejector rod. the action has been tuned. Current grips are pachmayr that may or may not change in the future. I would like to cut the barrel to 5.5" and fir a fiber optic front sight to it to finish it off. I have a full flap holster ready for it when the bob job is complete.
