Talking New member of the Dark Side

I picked up my first handgun today. Proud to say it's a Glock 19. I was in love the first time I touched it. Can't wait to take this bad boy to the range.

Great gun. It is my carry gun for on and off duty now that I am in plainclothes.

Can anyone recomend a good holster for the G19. I am thinking of probably a 4 O'clock carry posistion?

A Glock 19 is a great choice.

For holsters try Sidearmor or Comp-tac .

Yep - +P or +P+ work fine in the G19. For a holster, try the Alessi Talon Plus IWB. It's my standard carry holster for the G19/23 size weapons, and I've never found a better.

Talking Preacherman

Thanks for the info Preacherman. I checked the manual and Glocks web site and a few other dedicated Glock sites and never found a mention of it. And I most definitly don't want to have a blown up gun with a new nickname "Lefty" Will check out that holster straight away.

Thats a good thing IMNSHO. I don't want my investment to be a useless pile of scrap metal and plastic. Cost me a Crap load of cash($545 plus tax). Supposably NIB but I highly dought it. Looks new but it's gen 2. I could have done alot better but once I held it I couldn't wait I just had to have it.

Peetmoss,

The Glock is a great choice!

Be prepared for a lot of flack from non-Glockers. If a Glock in Zimbabwe has a failure to feed, you can bet that someone will post it here within the hour.

Yeah, I've done that a few times.
That's why I've been staying away from my local "toy" dealer..

Sidearmor if you like Kydex. Galco if you're into leather.

G19 is a great sidearm.

Saw one G21 kB a month or two ago. Owner was handloading and had screwed up a load.

He fortunately didn't get any broken bones out of the deal, but he said it was like having his hand hammered on an anvil.

Moral of the story: If you handload, be careful!

Congrats!

I finally broke down and bought a G19 this year myself...I bought my G20 in 1991!

I like the G19.
I would carry it in anything from Galco . I hate plastic holsters.
I would shoot a 115+p load out of it.
