My Christmas present

My dad bought me a Taurus PT-22 for plinking and as a back up for my 357 mag. I heard that Winchester Wildcats are the best round for this gun.

Mike Irwin, can you confirm?

Every gun likes what it likes---try every brand and load you can get your hands on----and see what your individual gun likes best.

damn nsf003, you're only 15 years old and already own a .357 magnum I had to wait until >I turned 18 just to shoot my dads Ruger GP 100 with the 6" barrel (and it was worth the waiting), altough now I'm 19 and also own 2 firearms: a CZ122 in .22LR (not available in the US, don't know why) and a Glock 17 3rd generation I bought in july of this year.
anyway, good shooting

Guns were not allowed in my dad's home. I bought & shot my 1st gun after I turned 21. Geez, if I had those 6 extra years to start and cultivate my addiction, I might be dead in a gutter someplace
Enjoy the new piece!

Good for you! My father was not into firearms at all, so it was not something we shared.

Good shooting!

NSF,

Wildcats have worked very well in MY gun, to the tune of no failures to feed, fire, or eject in over 2,000 rounds fired.

Don't know how they would work in your Father's, but they're worth a try.

My gun would NOT work well with CCI Blazers, though. Failures to fire on the first strike were common.

Try the CCI Velocitors. The are superior to any other .22
for performance and actually use GDHP's (gold dot hollow
points). Probably the only .22 that I would consider for
last ditch defense. And they feed and function perfectly
in my Beretta 21A.

My Buckmark likes Wildcats.

They are lead round nose so they feed well. Some hollow points can be problematic for some guns.

Give them a try.
