Just logged onto the NRA website today, and my status changed from Annual member to Life member. Thanks again Yosemite Sam.

What does your expiration date show?

Mine hasn't changed from annual to life yet, but when I called in they said I was a life member. My expiration date changed to the year 2032, and was told they do it in 20 year segments and it will automatically advance.

Well, scratch that. Just logged in and it shows life, and says status active and there is no longer any line for expiration date.

One thing I do that maybe I should mention when they solicate more money from me, is tell them when I order from Midway USA or cheaper than dirt, I always round up (at midway) or add a buck (at cheaper than dirt). When I called back in to very my life member yesterday, they again asked me to donate a 25.00 membership to an armed service personel. I'm certainly not against it, but I have to draw the line at some point with donating money.

New Life Member here!

I did notice the thr members posting their life member info, but I have a friend that's a life member & thought I'd go with his 'sponsorship', thank you for pointing it out.

Not terribly difficult, about 10-12 minutes on the phone & I could tell that the rep I was speaking with had no clue what was going on. She had to check it with a superior & then it went smoothly.

I did ask for an email confirmation & she couldn't do that. She did give me a confirmation number & told me that I'd be transfered to the main number to see if someone could send me an email. Well, I have been waiting on hold now for 10 minutes & I'm thinking I don't care that much...

Thank you all very much for this valuable info!!! I'll do my best to recruit more lifer's!

All, Please search the thread as several Lifers (including myself) have posted their information (if you still have trouble PM me ). I am not sure, however, if the discounted Life Membership is still in effect (can't hurt to contact them to inquire as we need all the members we can get).

-Cheers

I just called the NRA. They told me to just go to this website to sign up https://www.nra-2012.org/Default.aspx and enter your sponsor’s id.

Unfortunately, the website is currently having problems, but they are working on it.

This is available until March 2.

I just went through the above link and saw nothing of a 300.00 offer. For kicks, I decided to do a gift membership for my son, it comes up as an anual 20 dollar membership.

I just signed up today by phone.

It takes forever to get through. The first person told me that I had to use the website, but it did not work. The second person signed me up in about 2 minutes for a life membership.

So, you might have to try a few times.

If you have any problems, send me a pm.
