Pretty sure this $300 offer is still available for any of those who want to become new life members.

I'm interested in this homers, what do I have to do to take advantage of this pricing?

I called the 703-267-1000 and told them what I why I was calling and waited on hold for about 15 minutes then told the second person I was calling about the $300 life membership. He asked for the sponsors membership # and then asked for my membership # and took my credit card number. The whole process was very easy.

This is from an earlier post that seems to explain it well. Some people have posted their membership # in this thread also.

The $300.00 membership is still on, you may have to call more than once to get someone who is either willing or knows the process, not sure which.

Used the (703)267-1000 number
I followed the information in this post to the "T"

Thanks to all who helped with info.

It is still on, but as blackhog says, you may need to call more than once. First call I got someone clueless who didn't know anything about a $300 upgrade, then she checked on it and told me that the offer expired in March. I called a different number the next day and got someone with a clue. Gave the sponsors number, my number, and my CC number. Done deal. Thanks to those who offered me their numbers as sponsors.

Rather than a pistol, this would be a better long term investment. If someone will sponsor me then I'll call this week.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

As of 6/25/2012, the $300 special is still available (many thanks to those who offered to sponsor me!). I had to call twice to get someone (Diane) who knew of the special, but it was a very smooth transaction once I reached the correct person.

Thank you PT92. I am now an NRA Life Member. One call, 10 minutes, easy as pie.

After visiting with the representative, the "trick" to an easy call may be just to say, "I'm calling to take advantage of a gift life membership for $300. I have my sponsor's membership number and zip code. They are..." The transaction has to start from the sponsor's membership, so starting by providing your membership number at worst causes confusion and at best just makes extra steps for the representative.

Thanks again,
Andrew

PS. Now I can sponsor someone. Just PM me and I'll be glad to help.

Ok Just found/heard of this thread deal. Would this work even if I have the Life member month payment plan going right now?

Do you have to be a current member in good standing to take advantage of this? My membership expired a couple months ago.

If not, I'll call this week if someone will sponsor me.

If you do need to be a current member, I'll renew my membership, and then call this week if someone will sponsor me

Thanks,
Chris "the Kayak-Man" Johnson

Nope--I believe that you are fine and I encourage it! My Lifer info is posted in the thread as well as a host of others that would be happy to assist (if you can't locate it, PM).

This is how I became a life member. Just not through this thread. My lawyer sent me the info. Does this mean I can sponsor people? If so, how?

Yup--Just provide your Life Membership # along with zipcode and you're good to go.

Looking to become a life member...

Hello,

I am new to this forum but not new to gun ownership or to being an annual NRA member. I would like to take advantage of the $300 lifetime membership program, if it is still available. Anyone interested in sponsoring me to help the cause?

Thank you!

-Daniel
