New info

You can now get the $300 membership online again using the sponsors information.

www.nra-2013.org

Here's how...
1. Sign in on the above website using your sponsor's member number, zip code and email. The security code they ask for is in a box to the right on the sign in page.
2. Hit the continue button
3. Skip the second page by hitting the continue button again.
4. On the This is a : "Select a Gift Membership" box, draw down the menu and select the $300 Life
5. Fill in the rest of the page with your information
6. Hit the "Review and Complete Your Transaction" button on lower right
7. Fill in your credit card number and send.

I had two people do it today so I know it works.

I posted this at two other forums today and got 11 new life members signed up in 2 hours.

There is strength in numbers and the NRA is the big dog on the block. When they bark people listen. When it comes time to stand up and be counted we will have 5 million plus with us.

A sponsor gets nothing but the satisfaction of helping the cause. If want a sponsor contact one of the many who said they would help. Don't put the burden on them to PM you, you need to PM them first and ask for their info.

I have a life membership, so I'm willing to sponsor if someone needs one.

Kudos To All

I think we can take a quick breath and give ourselves a well-deserved pat on the back for a very effective concerted effort!

Now, back to work...!

This doesn't appear to be my observation. The NRA-ILA knows how to play the political game. And it is a game. Not unlike how anti-gun folks use an incremental approach to implement gun control (to the ultimate end goal of disarmament), we have to use the same incremental approach to restore freedoms (to the ultimate end goal of making the 2nd Amendment once again the law of the land).

That seems silly to me. The job is far from over. People need the education and knowledge not to be fooled into thinking that gun control weakens criminals instead of empowering them (and weakening the law abiding).

Cool! Electronic data entry is definitely the way to go. The past 3 years I had to collect checks and mail the whole packet in. It took forever.

Here's one caveat:

1 Year Membership only $20! Life Membership just $300!

Complete the information below to give the gift of freedom! Your gift recipient will enjoy full NRA member benefits, and there’s no limit to the number of new members you can enroll at this special discount rate!

Available only to friends and family members who are not current members of the NRA
Probably means that current members can't "upgrade" for $300.

Anyone successful in using the $300 offer to upgrade? I'm already a member but it appears the offer is only good for new members

I'm looking for a sponsor for a life membership. I'm a current member so they aren't making me the $300 offer.

Outstanding!

Looks like mac66's (post #651) suggested Life Member signup procedure is working quite well.
