My family of four are now life members. Thank you so much PT92 and all the other sponsors making this possible. I am spreading the word to all my coworkers and friends about the urgency and importance of joining and taking up the cause.

I'd love to upgrade to life member if i can get a sponsor. They have just made it to cheap and easy to keep procrastinating, especially given the current situation.

Here's the way to do it.

PM one of the life members who offered to be sponsors.

Don't put the burden on them to pm you, PM them first and they will be happy to send you their info.

I would add myself to the list. After all, it was thanks to this very thread that I became a life member; think of it as me trying to give it back to the community.

I just did this and can confirm it works.

Call this number- it's an NRA signup number. No waiting, no hold.

They DO NOT ask for any sponsor information or anything else, but will happily take your $300 for life membership. Easy peasy.

Glad I finally did it.

Offered me choice of magazine in print or electronically which was nice.

I just did it! I couldn't believe it was that easy--had tried calling in the past with no joy. Now I'm going to make a donation to ILA. It's what I would have spent on a new safe queen.

Maybe that would be a good challenge for others--whatever you were going to spend on a new safe queen, upgrade your NRA membership and give the rest to the ILA (or another effective organization).

And if they have a gun buyback in my area, I'll get rid of some junk and give the money to NRA-ILA.
