.224 69 grain hpbt Nosler Custom Comp and Benchmark?

Anybody loading or have loaded .223 Rem with Nosler 69 grain Custom Competition bullets and Benchmark powder? If you are what is your load? How many fps are you getting with barrels in 16", 18", or 20"? I have been looking for a multi-purpose load (defense, coyote, and accuracy) for awhile and these Noslers seem to be the ticket. They are decent in price and they should be accurate out of 1 in 9 or 1 in 7 twist barrels.

I really like the Benchmark powder as it burns very clean for me with my 55 grainers. It seems to work well among most bullet weights from light to heavy. If I get some good feedback I will probably be picking up some of these bullets on friday. As always, thank you all for your help!

I know you said Benchmark, but try Varget or RL-15 for 69gr bullets in .223. I won't suggest loads, because I don't know what your chamber is, but I'd be surprised if you don't get good results loading them about .5gr under max. Load them to 2.26" to fit in the magazine and go shoot. I can get 2850-fps with either powder from my 20" AR Service Rifle and they will SHOOT. Groups will likely go around MOA with those bullets if your rifle can do it. (I've fired a number of cleans from 300-yards in Highpower with those 69gr Noslers.)

Love Benchmark. Haven't tried it with 69gr, but wouldn't hesitate to try it.

It may be a bit quick for 69 Gr bullets in .223. That doesn't mean it cannot work, or be accurate, but I imagine it will not give top velocities. That is just off the top of my head without checking data.

The only reason I asked is because according to Hodgdon their low end for Benchmark is 21.5gr it gets 2770 fps with a high of 23.5 for 2970 for the Sierra Match King. This is very comparable to other powders. The new CFE223 needs 23.5gr to get to 2788 fps and Varget needs 24.0gr to get to 2784. I'm just looking for some real world numbers others have come up with and what the loads were.

I have been using Benchmark for over a year with the 69 CC 23.0 grains in a Bushmaster AR15 Predator 1-8 twist. Federal Brass. Best 5 shot group I ever made .543 at 200 yards. 100 yards gets boring.
