New rollmark 1991a1

Friend of mine went to the local gunstore for a Colt 1991a1 new rollmark and the owner checked three dist. and no one had one. One dist. even told him that it was discontinued. Any news on this?

I know when a company puts a new roll mark on a gun, it is an indication or an announcement if you will, that the quality of the gun has been changed or something major has been changed in that company.
From my understanding the new Colts(with new roll marks) are better than ever.
