Windham Weaponry AR-15

I recently stumbled upon a Windham Weaponry AR-15 for 700 dollars at one of my semi-local gun shops and I put in on layaway. As i brought the gun to the counter one of the workers gave me a crash course in the history of Windham Weaponry, and how they used to be Bushmaster? I was wondering if anyone on here could elaborate on this story, or If anyone has experience with Windham Weaponry or Bushmaster AR-15's. Thanks in advance for any info!

Windham has a website. Their story is on there. Many of the employees worked for Bushmaster.
