-The lower receiver a Colt 6920, got rid of the Rogers Super-Stoc and replaced it with a Colt CAR stock and swapped out the mil-spec trigger with a Geissele SSA. -The upper is a Noveske 14.5 Lo-Pro -Aimpoint CompM2 -SureFire M962 with Veleno Designs XP-G LED drop-in module, about 250 lumens, with a SureFire SR-05 tape switch. -Bobro shorty VFG and generic ladder rail covers I absolutely love the way this rifle handles, despite the big 9-volt SureFire and the full-size Aimpoint it is extremely light. I may replace the CompM2 with a 2 MOA Micro T-1 or H-1 down the road for greater weight savings. And maybe a MagPul CTR stock and new pistol grip. ![]() Here's mine. S&W M&P15 lower, FN A2 upper, 14.5" barrel with an unknown AK-style brake (will get shortened to 10.5" and have KX-3), MagPul MOE handguard/AFG2, Pearce 1911 grip frame, MagPul trigger guard, MPI-tested Detroit Gun Works BCG, CMMG LPK and a DPMS charging handle. Finish is Rust-oleum Dark Taupe with Rust-oleum satin clearcoat, so far it's held up to some abuse and is easy to touch up. Oh yeah, the BSA red dot will be on a 'Z' mount before the end of the month that should co-witness with my sights.

Thanks CmdrSlander, my Colt/Noveske hybrid is my new pride and joy, and like I said it is very light. I can't wait to shoot it. I do agree that the stock could be more ergonomic but I really do like the CAR stock. I will probably still replace it with a MagPul CTR though, and get a TangoDown BattleGrip to replace the A2 grip, both for ergonomics.

Alcohol and guns don't mix, but on St. Patty's day weekend it still makes for a nice photo.

Nothing fancy here, well used, with wearing marks and everything. Works allright none the less, agrees with me and does what is asked - goes bang and hits the target. But still, nothing as good looking as many others here.

Should be here in a couple of weeks
![]() AR chambered in 30-06. And yes it's an 8 pound rifle. Why? 1) Because 30-06 drops anything in North America 2) Long range (1000 to 1500 yards if I do my job behind it) |
