Senate Judiciary Committee composition
Also note that Sessions and Graham are up for election in 2014 and should receive emails supporting their opposition to specific pieces of legislation. Frankin and Coons are up for reelection in 2014 as well and need constructive arguments sent to them on why there's no reason for any of the elements to the proposed Feinstein AWB legislation to pass and why there are 800,000 a year to oppose it. No crude or coarse letters since those will do more harm than good. NRA give Leahy a C grade on RKBA and letters to him should focus on the cost to his party the last time an AWB was put in place. Point out that unlike then the grassroots are heavily electronic now and the soaring sales on ARs represent even more people that increase the risk for his party colleagues if the Senate and House members vote on an AWB with the upcoming 2014 elections. Patrick J. Leahy Chairman, D-Vermont Dianne Feinstein D-California Chuck Grassley Ranking Member, R-Iowa Chuck Schumer D-New York Orrin G. Hatch R-Utah Dick Durbin D-Illinois Jeff Sessions R-Alabama Sheldon Whitehouse D-Rhode Island Lindsey Graham R-South Carolina Amy Klobuchar D-Minnesota John Cornyn R-Texas Al Franken D-Minnesota Michael S. Lee R-Utah Christopher A. Coons D-Delaware Tom Coburn R-Oklahoma Richard Blumenthal D-Connecticut

I will start on letters to them tonight. That box of envelopes and roll of stamps was a good investment...

What can be communicated to the pro gun Senators to keep the bill from leaving committee? The offices for Lee and Hatch have confirmed they will not vote for the bill but is there anything we can ask them to do while it is still in committee?

OK. I can figure out why Leahy is purple, but why is Al Franken orange? What does that mean?

A quick question, why are all the Republicans RKBA and the Democrats anti RKBA? I thought being pro gun was not a Republican or Democrat thing, do you think someone forgot to tell these senators that?

I think someone forgot to tell the Democrat leadership that, personally.
