‘Carrying a Gun Saved My Life’: Meet Ryan Moore

I interviewed Ryan Moore for PJMedia.com on his real-life self-defense story, what he learned from it, and why he opposes proposed new gun control laws.

I cannot wait for reality to set in and the general public and the suits in DC and our local governments get the picture. Thanks for posting.

What (if anything) can we do to get stories like this into the MSM? I posted before of Joe Nocera's lurid "gun report" in the NYT.
http://nocera.blogs.nytimes.com
I've suggested that the NRA counter with an op-ed that's basically just a cut and paste of "armed citizen."

Unlike some, I don't think the MSM is necessarily a shadowy Communist conspiracy. There has to be a way to make publishing some of this in their interest.

First let me say that I am glad he is alright and that he stopped his assailant. However, when I liberal reads this story they don't see that he may have needed more than 5 rounds. They hear that he only used 3. They don't think that if the second man had attacked he only had 2 more shots. The liberal mind thinks that if he had more ammo he would have chased down the second man and killed him too. They are glad that he only had 5 rounds so he didn't go on a killing spree. The liberal mind doesn't think about what might have happened, they only want to keep you dependent on government. I know that is not the point of this story. Just pointing out that liberals read this story and hear that now he carries 26 rounds when all he needed was 3.

Dude! an excellent situation to explain how the right to be armed saved this mans life, and how mag limits would negatively impact an American's right to self defense.

Politicians take note.

Unfortunatelly it takes time to drop a bad guy, unless you are lucky enough to hit a heart or head shot, which is risky if you don't have the time to aim.
that's just another reason I carry a 45 when possible, I want to spring the biggest leak possible.
Back 30 years of more, we all carried 5 shot revolvers, never thinking how inefficient they were. I understand the arguments, but hen you have to just draw and fire going backwards, just hitting the guy is hard enough

That'll never happen. Wake up.

Great article, and an eye-opener for him to carry a pistol with a larger capacity

When Obama parades around with kids as props, we need to parade around with survivors who are alive because they were armed.

Whoa. I just now read that.

You don't need a gun!

The Good Guys don't go 1-up on The Slime nearly enough.

Maybe you don't just need a gun; you need SEVERAL guns... (i.e. "New York Reload")
