Any advice good or bad for Remora IWB holsters? Anybody carry one daily? Leaning toward making the switch to Remora. Thx

I put my hands on one yesterday and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how one would stay in place during the day. I felt like I'd either have to have my belt super tight or constantly be fidgeting with the thing.

The key with a Remora is to wear a belt to keep it snug.

At first, I really didn't care for the Remora. I'm beginning to appreciate them more and more. They are truly infinitely adjustable and do a decent job of staying put. They will move around a bit during the course of the day.

Forget about pocket use. They are too big and thick IMO.

Remora is a good buy and should find a place in your carry rotation. They have excellent customer service too.

Didn't have a problem with mine, even with a very thin webbing belt. As long as your pants are tight enough (not really that tight), it stays put.

I am actually very impressed with it. Stays where I put it. I have carried a xd9sc with sweat pants on. Only draw back is cant practice draw with it. Once gun comes out only easy way to re holster is to take holster out and start over. I would not have this as only holster but it is a good inexpensive holster to have. Plus a good warentee.

I have 3 and love them. They stay in place with only moderate pressure from your belt or drawstring. You don't have to make your belt so tight its uncomfortable. Like others stated, they are great for finding the sweet spot of comfort and concealment.

They can be tough to practice drawing with. They also make a reinforced top that makes it easier for one handed reholstering. They say it's not as comfy though.

I have a client who got one for his H&K P2000 to use for pocket and IWB carry and has been very happy...I personally don't use either of those carry styles.

I did a little work with it when we were shooting together and was quite impressed. The outer surface really does stay in place and it doesn't take much pressure from a belt to stabilize it. The presentation from the holster was very smooth

Have several. Belt or drawstring needs to be snug, but not "tight". For me, the key is to wear the Remora against the skin, not between pants and underwear. The holster just seems to stick to my skin with minimal movement while walking. I wouldn't run or rock-climb in one though.

And that right there is why I wouldn't trust it. If I have to run, jog, speed walk, whatever, and my weapon falls down my leg and gets stuck or comes out and hits the ground, it does me absolutely no good.

I have just recently been introduced to Remora holsters. I now have one for my M&P 9c and my M&P Shield 9mm and I have to say that I really like them a lot. I do have some other nice holsters, but I have to say that the Remora's are absolutely the most comfortable that I have worn. They can easily be worn all day long and have very little movement. Excellent excellent product. I also have to say that they have absolutely some of the best customer service I have ever experienced!! I was not happy with the fit of their holster for the Shield. They basically made me a custom holster that is incredible!!

Great people and great product!!!!

I have Remoras for my three Rugers. They feel very secure to me. I would recommend getting it with the sweat shield.

I use them for my XDs 45, Kahr CM9 and Sig P238. I do NOT use them for IWB. I don't trust something not mechanically attached. I DO use them for in the pocket and they work great. Jacket or pants. Gun out, Remora stays in pocket. I've repeated this until it's deep in my muscle memory.

My gripes:

Their sizing charts are a bit odd. You may want to try some alternate sizes.
They have an odd chemical smell at first. Air them outside the safe for a couple weeks until done outgassing.

Received them last week. Still wearing and getting use to them. So far it is great for my smaller pistols. The full size versions for the full size pistol will take some getting used to. For the price of $25.00 you can beat it. The real test will be summertime carry. I have yet to find the perfect summer carry holster with very lightweight clothing.

Can you jump up and down while wearing it (with weapon) and not have it fall or reposition?

IMO, no. I've been using Remora's off and on for several months and no matter how securely I think I have it strapped to my side, there's aways movement.

That being said, I've never had it drop or fall off and retention is excellent. Just need to reposition it throughout the day.

They are pocket holsters. Nothing more. Use them for pocket holsters and leave it at that, or your gun will end up on the floor or commingling with your dangling bits.

Have you actually worn one? This hasn't been my experience at all. I've worn them all day with no movement.

Yes. They just don't work for me and I am upfront about not exactly being keen on any method of holstering that is not attached or in the pocket.

I am NOT badmouthing the product. I talk to the Remora seller at the gun show indepth about the products every month. I OWN three of them. And one DeSantis. I actually prefer the sticky skin of the Remora better than the DeSantis.

I can jump and the weapon will not fall out. Repositioning is minimal. I am a bigger guy, so I have not found a comfortable IWB holster that doesnt cut into me when I sit. This Remora is different. You really can forget it is even there. I would still love to try some others but so far so good. I will say a full size pistol for me would be difficult to carry all day with this Remora.

Been carrying my compact pistol in my Remora all week. Best IWB holster for the money by far. In and out of my truck all day, lifting and unloading material, squating and absolutely no movement. I would recomend this for any compact pistol.
