AN/PVS-18 L3 Night Vision Monocular (M983)

L3 Night Vision Monocular (M983)

This monocular is based on the Military and DOD nomenclature, known as the AN/PVS-18. It has been primarily used by U.S. Special Forces because of its 66 ft waterproof submersible rating.

The M983 is a versatile Night Vision system offering a Head or Helmet mounted monocular, allowing quick placement over either the left or right eye due to its unique, twin Navy Dovetails. In addition it is also a self contained pocket-scope providing hand-held capability. Weapons mounting is also an option. The M983 can also be used with a SLR camera, CCTV, or camcorder systems. Optional 3-X and 5-X A-focal magnifiers available to provide long range observation capabilities as well.

Available with the latest Gen 3 Image Intensifiers, in either the ITT Excelis Pinnacle, or the more correct L3 Omni-8 mil spec tubes, in either Filmed or Un Filmed format.
