I actually walked into a store today and they had quite a few powders on the shelf. Founds some W296 for $21 lb.

The one I didn't really need but was happy to see was IMR 4350, until I looked at the price tag. $29.95 lb.................

No primers of course.....

I would be on that if I didn't already have 9 lbs of it. Someone needs it more than I will anytime soon.

EG3, credit goes to Walkalong - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthrea...49#post8805049

Until he posted, I never even heard of 3rd Generation.

Send me a PM and perhaps I could send you a "Welcome to reloading" gift box of reloading stuff you are having difficulty finding.

Same exact powder. Since 2006 to present, both Winchester and Hodgdon load data show the same powder charges for W231/HP-38 - http://www.hodgdon.com/history.html
Quote:
In March 2006, Hodgdon Powder Company and Winchester® Ammunition announced that Winchester® branded reloading powders would be licensed to Hodgdon.

Recob's Target Shop still has Promo for $95 with 4% off if you buy 2 or more 8 lb jugs - http://www.recobstargetshop.com/browse.cfm/2,5.html

If you are not familiar with Promo, it is a large flake powder (larger than Unique) that can meter with up to .2-.3 gr variation (depending on the powder measure) but as Alliant indicates, I use 2004 Red Dot load data by weight and it produces accurate range practice/plinking loads. For me, 4.0 gr charge has worked well with 45ACP 200 gr LSWC, 9mm 125 gr RN and even 40S&W 180 gr TCFP.

Thanks for the tip on the HP-38. Just ordered some. They are now down to 26 8lb containers. Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna, Ga had small and large pistol primers in stock as of today at 11:00am if anybody is in the Atlanta, Ga area. Limit 300 per customer. CCI 500, CCI 550 and CCI 300. They will go fast.

Ok, probably next to impossible to find, but how about some .223 bullets, just target shooting at the range bullets, not expensive SD or hunting stuff. Probably 55g if possible.

A local ranch and home store near me had a couple of Hornady presses, one was just he press and the other was the kit.

I hear that most places are out of most all reloading presses.

Found some 180 gr x-treme .40 cal bullets for $54 per 500 and purchased the last box they had. Lucked out for sure being that those bullets are pretty much gone..

Now to find some Unique laying around....
