bds has done an great job pointing folks at sources for the things we are looking for.

Thanks! I've picked up several things because of these posts.

Here's another resource that has pointed me to several things I needed:

I received my backorder of .44 Special Starline cases from Brownell's. If anyone else was looking, might check there (soon).

mdm, you are very welcome.

I used to use gunbot but started this thread when I found that it often lagged behind vendor websites by several hours to day+ and don't include many popular vendors such as these:

Affordable Brass & Bullets
Bayou Bullets
Berry's Manufacturing
Gamaliel Shooting Supply
Graf & Sons
Natchez Shooters Supplies
Recob's Target Shop
Rocky Mountain Reloading
Scheels Sporting Goods
TJ Conevera
UP Ammo Supply
X-Treme Bullets
Zero Bullets/Roze Distribution

Found some IMR 4350 for $25 local and just ordered 200 each 165 gr Sierra Gameking from Midway USA today. With hunting coming up, this is my pet loads for deer so I am happy, happy, happy.

As for other reload gear, bds and all here have been very helpful. Hopefully we are moving past the craze but with the new tax bill the Dems are pushing, who knows.

Thanks again to all who have helped out here.

Not relevant for those looking online, but I found some Unique at the a local shooting range today. Cost $22, so while not cheap, it was definitely cheaper than a hazmat fee

I've noticed this as well....that price isnt bad! I had to pay 30 bucks for a pound of HP-38 the other day at my range, they had spp in CCI and Winchester, Small rifle primers, tight group, varget power pistol....but prices were high, but still less than hazmat + shipping etc.

I suppose this pricing will persist until things improve further. I really enjoy Recob's.....everything ships from them, so that hazmat fee is watered down pretty good with 8+ lbs of powder and the limit ( only 1000 right now, but was 5000) on primers, Its not so bad. The problem I've noted with internet supplies is that between the hazmat fee and LIMITS, it gets bad quick, because you cant buy enough with one hazmat to make it worth while. some suppliers source from different places, so you may get more than one hazmat fee. This is the problem that causes the higher pricing....as a dealer you price high, but cheaper than internet price + shipping + hazmat fee.

Cabelas in Hammond IN had over 100k of all various primers as of last week, $40/k. Few bullets and almost no powder. If anybody is in the Ft Wayne area, Tomlinson's in Churubusco had quite a bit of powder as of a couple weeks ago.

Kempf's in Michigan City has a pretty fair selection of powder and bullets.

Haven't seen Federal SPP, 100s or Match. MidWay has had them a few times this year.
Other primers are starting to show up more frequently at many different stores.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to unexpected medical condition of a family member, I will be undergoing employment/life changes and won't be able to post regularly. I hope to lurk/post on occasion.

I hope this thread has helped THR members and guests during the "shortage" and that you continue to share with each other much needed popular reloading components/equipment for sale. Remember to keep supporting the vendors who did not "gouge" their customers during the shortage (we all know who they are).

I am happy to have been a part of an awesome group of reloaders/shooters the past several years and look forward to returning after a few years.

- John

BDS - any pointers on how you automated the searches for the components in your posts? That way we could keep the thread going.....

LOL, if you talk to my wife, she would give you a very different answer.

Sure.

I would do a routine sweep of vendors under "reloading components > powder/primers/bullets" and other items. If vendors have search option by "in stock" items, I used them. If I needed to, I would narrow the search further by caliber (like for .223/.308). Same for dies/presses. I also do a quick check of weekly/monthly sales for reloading items.

Here are the filtered "in stock" searchs by vendors I have used for this thread:
