I'm glad to hear that they're actually issuing them.

Congratulations!

You can now look forward to your wife standing by the front door and yelling "Are you ready yet? Just pick a gun. I don't care if you're just trying to put your holster on we're late! What? No, you're not printing let's go."

Just a few years ago, I would have sworn that I would never see a "I got my IL Concealed Carry License" post.

Congratulations!

Haha you guys are too funny!

I got a new holster for my Glock 19 last night.

This morning when I'm getting ready for work I had to ask my wife "is this printing"??

"No."

(Then I decided to play "role reversal" for a laugh)

"Does it make my ass look big?"

"Yes."

"OK thanks hon."

Second day of carrying, no big deal. Went to work, went to the gun club monthly board meeting (I'm secretary). Showed a couple guys what the license looks like, but didn't talk about what or even if I was carrying. Although, I gave a wink to a buddy of mine when he asked if I was packing, and said quietly "yeah, and legally, this time."

Well what the hell.

Rumor is these letters are starting to go out.

Remember back on Post 194 (http://www.thehighroad.org/showpost....&postcount=194)

I raised concerns about this very thing.

I uploaded my training certificate to verify 8 hours of training, but I also loaded my DD214 to verify exemption of the other 8 hours.

I hope this doesn't make me a victim of identity theft.

Got my Illinois CCW today. It took 62 days from the submission of my application. My application number was in the 40,000's. This being Illinois I figured it would take a minimum of the allowed 90 days before I saw anything so kudos to the state police I guess for getting it to me before then.

Congrats Marb!

The more people I hear are carrying, the better I feel inside.

Won't be long before armed civilians have the upper hand, finally.
