Replaced the hammer with an original I found on eBay.

The block pivot screw had to be re-worked as a replacement was impossible to find.
The threads were broken clean off. I had a decision to make, re-make it from scratch or repair. I repaired it by boring out the old screw and plugging it with a new threaded end held in with rockset.

More to follow.

Pretty sweet project. I'm envious. I keep looking for a junker to revive. When I want quality I find junk for big money. When I want junk I find nice stuff cheap. I have not found a good project gun yet other than a marlin 60 that was found in the woods with a broken stock and about a years worth of rust. It's a fine shooter now but will never be pretty. Ended up $13 in it including gas money to drive and pick up a new stock for it.

Looks like a project well worth the effort, I do believe that is the Stevens Crack Shot, or is it the Favorite? Either way they are definitely worth the time to restore, if only and old gun could talk.

It's a favorite.

I wish I had started taking pictures right at the beginning.
