Do your part to block an anti-gun Surgeon General.

Keeping doctors out of the gun control game. We must stop 0bama's choice for Surgeon General.

That's a "what", where's the "how"?

TheHighRoad exists to provide a higher grade of discussion than is found on some other gun forums so antis and undecideds can see that gun owners and RKBA advocates are not the reckless misanthropes they tell everyone we are. Personal attacks, group stereotyping, macho chest-thumping, and partisan hackery are low road and hurt all of us.

That's what I was thinking.

Is there a vote/approval scheduled in Congress yet?

So his nomination was only suspended back in March, not blocked or denied?

I thought we were done hearing about this guy, that he was off the books.

A quick Google search yielded a request by a congress critter to vote again on his nomination. Dated five days ago. Doesn't seem to have any traction at the moment, though.

Its always good to contact your congress critters and let them know where you stand on important issues, but if the issues aren't on the 'to do list', don't expect much. At least, that's what I've learned to expect from my establishment republicrats and democans.

Note to HSO: Being a moderator, and thus in a position of authority, this denotes a leadership role as well. Why don't you take "The High Road", and suggest a "how"? The gentleman has a very valid point.

This forum is dedicated to activism to promote the RKBA.

It is the place to share with others the actions you have taken on behalf of RKBA or to propose actions on behalf of RKBA.

Actions taken or proposed on behalf of RKBA means that your post must describe an action taken or propose a clear concise plan of action or present real tools on behalf of RKBA or it will be deleted.

There are plenty of example threads here of how to make your voice heard on issues and we've even provided a Resources sticky so people can find who their Congresscritters are to send email or make calls to facilitate that.

It also wouldn't be much of a forum if the Mods told everyone what and how to do these things and there wouldn't be any point to having Activism if all we did was issue directives and took the ownership away from folks.
