What Rifle?

For $250.00-$300.00 which rifle would you suggest? I'll be using it for fun and pest control.

Just sighted in a Crosman 22 nitro venom and was surprised at the power and accuracy. Used 14.3 grain hollow points and they blew through the 1/2" osb like it wasn't there and buried themselves in the elm behind. Went back and bought one for myself. BTW, mine chronoed out with those pellets at 775 fps at six feet. 20 fpe. Wouldn't be legal in England. Joins my RWS, my Sheridan, Crosman, and Benjamin pumps.

Benjamin Discovery.... get it with the air pump. That will cost a bit more. Powerful. Accurate.

At that price point, I like the Benjamin Trail NP XL Air Rifle. Currently retailing for $299.99 w/a scope at Pyramind Air. Gas Piston and available in either .177 or .22 cal.

I have a Diana Model 52, I think. Its old and .177 caliber and I kill raccoons with it. Accurate to within an inch at about 25 yards if I don't screw up. Maybe new or used will be in that price range

I'll also vote for the RWS 34 - Had one, sold it when I moved, bought another. Pellets are readily available and cheap, especially compared to .22lr
