Benelli M1014

Hello. I would like some help in making a decision on whether to trade in my Benelli Super Black Eagle for one of the Benelli M1014's. Can someone please tell me if the recoil on the M1014 would be the same as the SBE or is there less felt recoil? I am with our police reserve program, and think I would really like the M1014's pistol grip and semi-auto action. I do not know anyone who has the M1014, so I cannot shoot it to see if I like it better. It feels very good and balanced though. Any opinions on the M1014 would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. --Tim

I don't have experience with the SBE, but I'll tell you how the recoil feels on my 1014. It's less than an M1S90, but it is more than a Remington 1100. That's just my opinion. Felt recoil is very subjective, YMMV.

Its been some time sense I shot an SBE so it's hard to say about the difference in recoil!
My 1014 is a dream to shoot, very dependable!!! I had quite a selection of old 12ga shell that had been given to me over the years so I decided to try a little test. After weeding out the shell,s that looked unsafe to shoot. I dumped the remaning in a bag to mix them up and started grabing and shooting, not looking at what I was loading. After 150 rounds not one single FFT or FTE. Had to stop several times to check barrel after several round's sounded like squib's but never found anything in the barrel!!!
I think Ill keep this one for a while!
