I picked up the Rock Island .22 TCM 1911. It comes with two fully ramped and supported barrels one in 9mm and the other in .22 TCM (Tuason-Craig Magnum) which is a hot little round. Its about 2,200 fps for a 40 grain bullet out of the 5" barrel.

However, the 22 TCM might be cool but I bought it because it is really cool to have a double stack 17+1 capacity SAO 1911 in 9mm. Also, I like RI's new slide profile. Its a flat top slide with a minimum of markings. Overall, a nice looking piece.

Unfortunately it will be a while before I can shoot it, but I'll post a range report when I do.

I've always liked pistols with minimal markings. That's definitely one of the better examples I've seen.

Best sure and test it out thoroughly. I had one and it was giving light primer strikes all the time using 9mm. It never had a problem with the 22TCM rounds though. I sent it back to RIA and they had to do some work to it. Just give it a thorough testing and enjoy it. The 22TCM is a fun little round to shoot, just a little on the costly side for a range blaster.

Congrats on a nice new gun. I'm anxious to hear how you like the .22TCM!

Thanks for the info

Not nearly as expensive as my 10mm or 460.

I have had the rock island 22 tcm-9 mm for sometime now. I have had no trouble of any kind. I can shoot the .22 tcm better it seems than my 1911 .45 auto, no recoil what so ever. The tcm is loud with a big fireball , it is a keeper. I also bought the tcm rifle but have not shot it much.
