So,.....a friend traded a gun for a Glock 43. He loves it. So my brother, the friend, and I go out to the range this past Saturday. I brought my P938 and CZ P-09 [with Cajun Gun Works hammer upgrade]. Long story short, I loved the feel of the G43 over my Sig. And,.....I managed the best group of the day with it. Even better than my full sized CZ product. I found that to be pretty amazing!

Should have it by the weekend or early next week. :D

I have the same experience with my G42 and my Sig P238.

I like the Sig, but I like the G42 more.

The new Glock will arrive at my FFL early next week. It will be my first Glock........yeah, you heard me.

Anyway, I'm planning on an eventual Glock 19 at some point in the near future.

Okay, new question.....about the Talo Edition. Was the only difference between a normal Glock 43 and the Talo the night sights? Was anything done to the trigger?

My friend's Talo G43 seemed to have a better trigger than the one I got.

You guys out there that have Glocks with factory triggers
can buy aftermarket triggers without spending a lot of
money. If you are handy (not like me) you can do it yourself.
If you are like me have a friend do it for you. Come on, you
must have at least one friend that is handy with tools.

I know nothing of the Talo guns, but a Glock that's had at least a couple hundred rounds through it will often have a much better trigger feel than a brand spankin' new one.

ritepath, yes it is. It's my favorite full sized gun these days,.......even over a highly modified SP-01. :)

Nothing wrong with CZ's for sure, all are good and reliable shooters. I like the larger SP01, Tactical, which is similar with 18 rounds +1.

george,...my P-09 has +2 base plates and I run 20 rounds in the magazines.

Well. I have trouble shooting single stack 9's. My Kahr has made me work to become proficient. I am surprised that things group so well for the OP. I would think a learning curve.

My only similar experience at the range was with my coworkers Ruger Blackhawk in .357 with a long 6.5" barrel. You could 't shoot that gun poorly.

Maybe I need to purchase my second Glock?

SwaneeSR,......I might have been just having a good day. I've not been able to duplicate that group with the one I bought.

It's actually one of a few guns I'll be deciding on as per which I will keep for conceal carry. I have no love for any of the "contestants",....as it were,....just interested in the one that best suits me.

Good choice on the 43, I've had for one for a few months and it's a kick in the butt to shoot.

I took it out again the other day,..........and it just hit me. I really don't like the trigger or the feel of the handle afterall. It's up on gunbroker now. No biggie.

This is kind of an interesting post. I don't know how many times I've shot some else's pistol really well or a new, to me, pistol has shot better than average. I think the reason why is that I just concentrate on using the trigger as best I can.

On a new to me pistol it's difficult to apply all my bad habits so the results can often be above average. Once I know the trigger then I can effectively apply all my bad habbits as anticipation or forcing the shot. Because I don't have these posibilities I'll be mislead into the belief the new firearm would be a good addition to my safe. Not always a great assumption. JMHO

You can add I think its called a Ghost adapter to the trigger. Mine started out with a 8lb trigger, it now is down to a very nice 4.5

I'm gonna try the Ghost Edge Connector. I've heard that it helps the trigger feel out enough.

Have you all considered the possibility of potential legal issues if you use a gun with aftermarket parts that make a gun easier to shoot....as in a prosecutor trying to make it appear that you were making it easier for you to kill someone? I have seen people speak on this before.

Just curious.

I don't know that there's a definitive answer to that question. It's possible that an anti gun prosecutor could try to make it an issue, but I'd be more concerned with that if the part was something out of the ordinary or had a name that fed into that stereotype.

1. The "handle" seems to work pretty well given your performance with it and based on how you "loved the feel of" it initially.

2. If the trigger is good enough that you shoot it better than a full-sized CZ, what do you hope to achieve by modifying it?

3. The aftermarket connector won't help the feel of the "handle".
It's up on gunbroker now.
I think that this makes a lot of sense. If you don't like the gun, go ahead and sell it rather than spending more money on it changing things that still won't address some of your dislikes.

I'm a gun guy. Not sure why I used "handle" either. :scrutiny:

The trigger on the gun my friend had was better than the one I got. I'm hoping the Ghost Edge Connector will make it better to where I'll be good with keeping it. It's a relatively cheap part, so if it still isn't to my liking, I'll put it back up on gunbroker. I had it there, but it didn't sell,....hence trying the Ghost.

If this doesn't do it,....I'm really uncertain as to what I'll do next. May just go with a Ruger LC9s Pro. But then will have to spring for another magazine and whatever night sights are available for it.
