THE CHAIR IS AGAINST THE WALL
I've just tried to reach the ATF eForms site, and my browser tells me that the site can't be reached.

I've tried to reach it via Firefox, Chrome, and Firefox mobile via 4G LTE, and none of those seem to be working.

I noticed that this morning too...

Last night I was unable to pay for the stamps...

All is well now. Two more Form 1's before the rule change.

Youd think an entity that takes your $200 to do absolutely nothing ( and takes 6 months to to it ) would have the most operational website in the world. Nope. It goes down every Wednesday like clockwork and other times at random because how could you possibly operate a website every day of the week.

Old school printed forms are always avail...

Yeah, but with those you can log into their website two or three times a day and see that absolutely nothing with your application has changed for months on end.

I think that the eForm site has a way where they notify you of a problem with your submission. Never had a problem, so I don't know if that lower tab works. Plus you may know a couple of days ahead of the stamp arriving as the status changes on the site.

LOL! Towards the end of the last ones I sent in, I was checking it once a day in the off chance I didn't receive the email.

On that note, has anyone seen anything about the fate of eForms for Trusts once 41F becomes a reality in two weeks?

Down again now, should be getting close to the end on my latest, Tuesday will be 120 days on this one.

Until they allow digital prints / photos? eForms will not be available for Form 1s

That's my understanding too. Was just curious if there was anything official.

I am in the same boat. I did two Form 1's (efile) in the beginning of March. I've never had a Form 1 take this long.

Well after the announcement of 41P in February people started doing forms like crazy and buying cans.

I'm about to do one more form 1 tomorrow and even though my last ones took 10 and 12 weeks I wouldn't be surprised if this one takes 7 or 8 months with as many people that are just form 1'ing as many things as they can before July 13.

My very first stamps were right at 180 days several years ago. I think once you have 5 or more it should be instant approval! How many freeking background checks do you need?

Haha! That would be nice! I've had over 5 stamps for years, I'd be a happy man right now!

I couldn't agree more. I have a handful pending right now and I don't expect to see them showing up anytime soon.

Thing is down again.

Got one in late Wednesday.

Got some in early Thursday, one hanging up on submitted date.

Saw large number ID difference between the two sets.

System probably getting a lot of business......................translated to longer wait times.

I agree, you ought to get a user number that greatly speeds up the process once you are approved.

I just did a form 1 ten minutes ago on the e-file system and it was very smooth.

In the past I've found that deleting temp files and cookies from there and restarting browser has helped.

Got a call back from them about about noon today. Lady I talked to resolved a hang up with their system on one of my applications. She said they have been swamped like never before. System is experiencing 'stress' and they know about it. I expect from now until Wednesday, some outages will be normal. Seems thousands of applications are coming in each day now.

I can only imagine what this years numbers will look like.

It's got some issues tonight. I almost had my trust uploaded completely and it kicked me out. Now, nothing. Had this thing in on the 30s. Blemished PSA 9mm lower. I thought the MM on the second line was part of the caliber (9x19mm) and was THE blemish.

My suggestion would be to have the ability to print a paper copy form 1 off in case you need to send it in that way before the 13th. With so many people applying it could go down for an extended period of time any moment now.

A friend of mine is trying to complete a form 1 and site is overloaded for him.. Glad I did my last one Friday :)

I bet those of us who filed in the last week are going to find the wait brutal. Want to bet it's into next year before stamps come in????

One would think that a section of the BATFE that receives more than a quarter billion dollars in revenue each year from tax stamps could be a little more efficient.

I'd imagine so. But that time is going to go by one way or another; with a Form in the pipeline, you get a goodie at the end of the wait rather than 'nuth'n. :D

I filed a Form 1 this afternoon (7/11) on an AR in order to SBR it. Surprisingly, eForms was up, had no glitches, and was fairly fast. I thought with everyone and their uncle Form 1ing today that it would be a disaster. It was a pleasant surprise.

P.S. I'm tempted to stuff one in for a Ruger 10/22 tomorrow just because I can, but I'm not really hip to rimfire-anything. So, meh, maybe.

Swing, I saw your other post and thought, he will regret not getting that 10/22 barrel. Seeing you mention it again just confirms that. (Today ain't over yet.............ijs)

For you and the rest of the folks that filed, please go to NFA Tracker and put in your dates.

http://www.nfatracker.com/

That way we can get a better idea how things are progressing through the system.
I know it is not real user friendly, but it seems to be the best tracking site out there.

I haven't been able to get on all day either. First it was the standard Wednesday maintenance message and now it a more general one. I'm glad I got my Form 1 in yesterday.
