I did own well over a hundred rifles and pistols but my wife wanted to build some decks and buy new carpet and furniture plus have the house painted so I went through all my guns and got the cheaper one's and the one's that I never shot and called a few buddies they all came that evening and I sold 95 guns raising my 20,000 goal. That left me with the most valuable guns I think 35 and a couple of warhorse guns that have taken many deer and elk one being a win 32win spcl and another 1873 win 45-70 that was 9 years ago and I told myself no more guns that would not gain value, since then I have bought 34 more and a couple uppers now my safe is almost full again but I'm always looking for that one special rifle or pistol.

Not a single one. Every post I've made on here has just been me trolling to entertain myself.

re: boating with firearms

In Canada there are criminal penalties attached to failing to report the loss of a firearm.
Of course, there are also criminal penalties attached to filing a false police report too.

On the positive side of the Canadian ledger, Canada no longer has a mandatory national long-gun registry.

Warp...not offended. I'll talk guns with gun people all day long. If someone I don't know well asks that, it really isn't their business and people have a habit of telling others. "Hey, I met a guy with an arsenal...". I'd have to goto my journal to get an accurate count.

I don't have that many. I think its an even dozen.

And it will soon be less, as I am about to put a couple on the market to gather funds for one I want.

The older I get, the more I gravitate towards quality over quantity. I'm to the point I would rather have 5-6 quality firearms than 15 budget firearms.

None - I'm borrowing them all from my wife.
This ^^^^^

Only my wife doesn't own any. I hang around here because most of you are intelligent human beings who post interesting things for the most part. I may get a couple next year if the political environment changes some. We'll see.

That's kind of where I've been headed too. I have a little under 20 now, but have been through two or three times that number in the past several years. If I didn't really care for a gun, or didn't shoot it much, it got turned into something else. I've got a pretty good idea of what I like now and what I don't care to mess around with anymore, and mostly just gravitate to specific items I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy. Generally a little nicer quality firearms, but usually not anything terribly special.

Too many to organize properly. I could count the rifles, the handguns would be some level of work. Come to think of it, I have over the years written down the SN's of them all as I acquire them..........but alas I may not have lined out the few I sold..........

I'm a bit odd. All the guns I own and I only have two shotguns.

Except for my wife and a couple of really good friends that are gun guys, I usually smile and answer "a couple". For folks that have been to the range with me, they know that the number is obviously more than 2.
But, while gun guys would understand and never say - "xx? why so many?" I just don't bother broaching the subject of exactly how many with others.
Yes, I own guns, yes, more than a couple, yes, rifles, handguns, shotguns, suppressors, oh my!

Obamanomics pretty much cut my gun stash in half. Almost all my expensive guns went on the chopping block years back. :cuss:

Funny, my great collection went bye bye, but my wife still has all her jewelry. How's that work???

3 shotguns
3 rifles
5 revolvers
6 semi autos
