where to get 45 brass

Midway want $66.99 per 1,000 for once fired .45 ACP. No brand name.
Graf's is listing new brass, by the 100, starting at $12.99 for Armscor brass.
Gun shows are an alternative. Only thing with a show is that you don't actually know that is really has only been fired once.

Maybe cuz they say so, and since its on the internet, it MUST be true..... ;)
 
Best price won't always get you once fired. Range pickups are all over the place as far as condition and LP/SP if you're talking about 45 ACP and I think you are. Some people don't sort their brass.

I've bought plenty from this guy and it truly is once fired LP in good clean condition. Most of it one mfg.

He's raised his prices recently but anyone with satisfied customers can do that and nobody complains.

Yankee2500 is a member here too and can be contacted on this forum instead of going to a different forum. He is a good seller.
 
My two cents/as arch angel said YANKEE2500 has 45acp w/mostly speer and maybe 1 other once shot head stamp mix. I have 2000+ put up from him on the buy sell and trade forum. I bought from 3 sellers and he has very consistent head stamped brass/one x.
 
After ALL of the comments and sources that people have listed, maddmaxx11 has not said if he ever found any brass.

The posts have listed sources for just about every 45 caliber brass made. I do hope he has found what he's looking for.

There's also a fella here at THR that sells good brass, got 1000 pieces of 223 from him once that worked out well. Can't recall his username but I think it started with a "V". Sorry, that's all I got.
 
Probably VONGH I might be rong Tater but Yankee been my ace in the whole. once fierd. top brass now in gander, T.J. conv. ive orderd from quit a few as I have no excess to range pick up at the time.
 
The last .45 brass I bought - some time ago - was from Southern Belle Brass.
I am doing ok now on range pickup, there seem to be more pop n drop shooters than there used to be.

I'm one of those guys who runs Ruger only loads, have a batch of 45LC brass that's been pushing 300grn pills at 1200fps for 27 loadings so far, started out with 2,000 cases about 10yrs ago in this batch, counting boxes on the shelf, I'm still over 1500 cases left after that many loadings. Sure, it'd last longer if I ran lighter loads, but I'm plenty happy with spending less than a penny per shot on brass, and more happy about how effective the loads are on the business end.

Don't be scared - Ruger only loads aren't THAT mean to brass.

Ruger only 45 colts are easier on brass than 44 magnum for sure. I've been loading them hot since 2009 and haven't had one fail from it yet.
 
Keep an eye out on the internet.

I wanted to buy some .45 Colt brass when I got my Peacemaker a while back. With the going rate for brass at the time, it was worth it to me to just buy ammo from Georgia Arms and enjoy turning each round into once-fired brass. Saved me the initial loading time and effort.

You may want to call several local gun clubs. Many near me bag them by caliber and for a small "fee", you can have a bag of 100. They're all once-fired brass because reloaders keep theirs and others are shooting new ammo and sweep the spent brass up and put it in a central container at the club.

I'm still shooting some WCC 73 I picked up on the range at McKeller's Lodge at Bragg in 74 - some unit must have had a bunch of cases to get rid of (likely midnight requisitioned) judging by the several thousand empties. No +P loads, but not pipsqueak, either. I do screen them & toss impending splits & like that. I prefer those for shooting where I can't pick them up or in brush/grass where the Brass Deity demands offerings...
 
I haven't started reloading for my 45 yet so all of my 45 ammo has been new. So I pick that up and know it's once fired. While at the range, I also pick up any brass around me. Most of it is 9mm and 223. But 45 seems to be the next most popular (after 9mm and 223) and I always get some along with some 40 S&W.
