The upcoming NRA elections will be here before we know it and I have received a request for support for a candidate for the Board. I have submitted my name on the written petition for his behalf and I'm passing-along his message:

Between now and February I have a lot of work to do and ask that you support my effort by continuing to spread my name to your friends, family and whoever else is an NRA member in an effort to get me elected to the board. You can continue to share my website (www.adamkraut.com) and my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/adamkrautnra) with your friends. I am constantly posting on the Facebook page, so that is the best way to stay updated on the progress of my campaign!

If you have the time, please check the websites above and offer your support if you choose to.

Thanks, AoG :)

Can you explain how promoting this person to the BOD of the NRA is a form of Activism vs. just the internal competition for NRA Board positions?

What makes them a better choice from our perspective?

hso, all I've done is to assist a request from Adam to help in his quest. Each member can make-up their own mind regarding suitability for the position. The Prince Law Group (Adam is associated) is well-known in Pennsylvania for their long-standing 2A advocacy and representation of clients for firearms-related (individual and industry) legal matters.

Mr. Kraut mentioned that he would be willing to join-in @ THR to answer questions directly, if so warranted.

Remember members expect you provide information and not just a "drive by" else we're asking members to follow a link without they're knowing why. Most wont without the minimal explanation. Pointing out the information about the Prince group is a good beginning.

I think it is important to get young people participating. Why do you think Adam should replace a current sitting member of the BOD? How does his gaining the Board advance our cause since it removes someone if he makes it?

These are the sort of points members will want to know to motivate them to check him out.

You're highlighting the reasons - I didn't want to seem overly promotional for any candidate.
Being on the twilight side of the ride through life, I think talented young men that are willing to pick-up the baton and forge ahead should receive a little help along-the-way.
Here's an excerpt from his web page:

"I currently work two jobs. I’m the general manager of a gun shop in the suburbs of Philadelphia and I’m also an attorney who has focused my entire practice around firearms related matters. Some days of the week I spend arming the free world and other days I fight back against unconstitutional laws and regulations from behind a desk or educating my fellow citizens at firearms law seminars. I’ve spent countless unpaid hours writing comments in opposition to proposed regulatory rule changes and have also engaged in litigation both at the state and federal level regarding firearms issues. I’m also the host of the show called The Legal Brief which airs weekly on The Gun Collective. I also frequently appear on the podcast This Week in Guns on the Firearms Radio Network."

I admire his ambition and willingness to work on behalf of 2A issues now & into the future.... God knows we're gonna need it if HRC occupies the Oval.

One point -- all board member candidates run against all other candidates. In other words the guy with the most votes gets the first position, the guy with the second most votes gets the second position, and so on.

This means, if you have a candidate you want to win DO NOT vote for any other candidates. Votes for other candidates are votes AGAINST your man.
