Alright, there are some decent choices here and he makes some valid points comma however I have always loved Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in the movie Heat, that was one hell of a firefight, so that's my favorite from his list.

There are some moments in cinema that you never forget, and a lot of my favorite ones involve an unruly amount of firepower. These ten bullet-laden scenes have been selected for their status as iconic moments, but also there’s also a few that earn a place on pure style points alone.

In addition, I never judge based on time period or even technology. You’re going to see a wide array of weapons and action in these clips. It doesn’t matter if a scene takes place in the wild west of 300 years into the future, a great gunfight is a great gunfight whether it’s being fought with 44 Magnums or Ray Guns.

Here are my picks for the best movie gunfights ever.

Ok, think about this shootout in your living room on a 50" flatscreen, with an 800 Watt Sony surround sound with 6 surround sound speakers & two 12" subs. needless to say, it's epic to say the least.

I like the opening scene (the intro for the tv version, every episode) of "Gunsmoke" where in one well placed shot, Sheriff Dillon incapicates a notorious villain in a scenario that probably NEVER occurred anywhere in the Old West in any semblance as depicted. Still looks cool though.

For comics... Those scenes in Clint Eastwood's first "spaghetti western" (which name escapes me) where he does things like shoot signs hanging from brackets to accomplish something. Also, not really a gunfight, in El Dorado, starring John Wayne, he has to teach someone (James Caan) how to shoot. After very impatiently trying to teach him to point-shoot, he finds him a very short shotgun. Caan fires a shot at a fleeing villain and misses, but hits a swinging sign which then hits the villain. Absolutely hilarious movie, for my very dry sense of humor.

Different focus in my picks than most people's, but I think these are the best, in my opinion. Realism is moot, because most just aren't really. Hilarity is good, in my estimation of movies. I am generally at an extreme lack of entertainment while watching movies, but if it strikes my odd funny bone, I'll probably like it.

No arguments with the above suggestions, just adding one more...

"The Good, The Bad, The Weird" is a Korean adaptation of a spaghetti western whose title you can guess. It's funny even with subtitles, and has several great gunfights. It may have a greater variety of guns than any other movie I've seen, so those who enjoy identifying different guns in movies will have a ball with this one.

A sample:

The 12+ shot "six shooter" in the open range clip around 25 seconds in was pretty funny.

They don't even make those mistakes is dumb movies.

Who are these people who come up with such bogus lists. None were top ten material.

If movie gunfights are your thing, "VICTORY AT SEA", a true reality show with everything from small arms to battleships and ending with Hiroshima.
