"Some think classic and classy is sexy; others slutty and tacky."

I guess I'm the slutty and tacky type when it comes to pistols. Although I don't mind being labeled as such, it still is difficult for me to process how some people have to try to insult others likes no matter what the subject, I guess that's just how the interwebz work.

But my Ruger No. 1 in 9.3 x 74r is kind of classic, in a slutty kind of way.

Here's the other lady that sleeps beside me it's an m1 Carbine made by Rock-Ola that I found at a farmer's auction. The original stock was broke in half so I turned it into this with a choate tactical stock and a complete set of new springs gone through and refurbished did the best I could do being basically something they were gonna through away so I got it super cheap and it is a fine shooter complete with jungle flash hider , tactical light and green laser on pressure switch. I have killed many coyote with her in the middle of night thanks to the light and laser , shooting seirra 110gr soft point handloads. 20161201_222629.jpg

What happened nobody has a HighPower .

Sometimes beauty (or sexiness), is more than skin deep. Many years ago I had a classic T series Hi-Power, complete with a beautifully polished, deep blue finish, ring hammer, and nicely checkered walnut stocks. But the romance ended there as it had a trigger pull that was literally off the scale, some really tiny sights that I couldn't see, a tiny thumb safety that was very difficult to put on and off, and had minute-of-barn accuracy.

Some time passed and a new Hi-Power was introduced with a great trigger (right out of the box and without having to remove the mag safety), decent, easy to see sights, and a much improved ambi thumb safety. Accuracy and reliability are first rate and the only thing I changed on it were the grips. But gone was the beautiful deep blue finish, replaced with a matte parkerized-like finish that does absolutely nothing for the looks of the gun. So as far as this Hi-Power is concerned one might say overall functionality is what makes this gun so sexy and desirable (as in everyone who has used this gun is attracted to it and wants it).

Never really thought about it as sexy but I always thought my Mothers '65 Browning Challenger was appealing and I am pretty sure it's the wood and curves in it.

Doesn't seem the same just looking at a 2D photo of it though.

Welldoya I think we both have the same pistol. But I Do enjoy mine but if you don't want to shoot it,that's your business. I will tell you that mine is a joy to shoot,it's got a great trigger everything is very smooth and a very accurate pistol. I've even killed a deer with it. Doubletap at about 30 yards with federal Hydrashock 124gr bullets. I love mine.

Well, it's not the sexiest gun I've had but it's pretty damn sexy in its own right. I had a gorgeous Mosin 91/59 in the original blonde wood stock that looked like it had tiger stripes down the length of it from the exotic wood grain pattern it had that everyone drooled over. I worked this browning hi-power over with some Turtle Wax Chrome and metal polish and now every surface on it shines like a mirror.
