Wow, I grew up in Lawrence. I left in the early 1990's but would have been living in town while he worked at Hallmark Cards. It's such a small world. God speed, RC.

I realize that I'm super late here but just wanted to say God bless to him and his family that got really helped me out a lot when I first got it started reloading with answering a lot of the questions that I had. I recognize the name and that's literally all the better I knew him but he still help me out

I don't post often and sometimes its months between getting back on here
I enjoyed reading his responses in many threads and was truly impressed with his knowledge.
Rest in peace RC.

Lost a good one there. Really enjoyed his feedback and guidance here on THR. I've been absent for quite a while.

So incredibly sad, but I'm thankful that he was able to touch so many lives and help so many people. I haven't been around in some time, but I remember him well. Rest in peace, brother.

I have been away far too long. This is the first I've heard of RC's passing. I learned quickly after joining THR that he was always one we could trust. I will certainly miss his wise words and advice.

Been away 2 years and gutted to hear that RC has passed.

I loved reading his posts and was always learning something new.

I will deeply miss reading your replies RC.

Thank you for all the time you took sharing your knowledge, your patience and above all your commitment to THR.

I dare say THR has lost its most renowned member in the art of reloading (amongst others).

I was a member years ago...A lot of folks have been away and come back to hear this sad news. Im in this group. rc had a way of responding to questions like no other. Confident and straight to the point. A lot of times I would read posts and be curious, then stop right after rc posted. He got it right. Really a nice, knowledgeable man. I no longer keep my primers in one jar, or my eggs in one basket ;)

I been slowly emptying my lil energy shot bottles holding all types of, primer, leftovers. He mentioned his, past leather working, maybe causing this and I make sure I use a mask. He was good enough to still be able to help people even in the great beyond.

I just wanted to say that one of the best things about RC Model was the way he had of giving the information confidently but gently, not like so many people on the Internet who are just looking for a way to prove themselves smarter/better than anybody. Even when correcting misinformation, he didn't do that "No! No! You idiot!" kind of thing that so many self-styled online experts do. He really knew what he was talking about, and he had nothing to prove to anybody.

Been over a year since I've been back. Didn't know RC had passed. A friend and a true gentleman. RIP my friend.
May you peace peace with in our Lords loving arms!

I haven't been on THR much in the last couple of years but I remember RC Model as a kind gentleman. We are diminished by his loss.

I logged in today for the first time in a long while and I immediately recognized his name. RIP. :(

This news is so sad. I realize it is not really news anymore, but it's the first I am hearing of it. I had similar experiences with RC. I remember one time asking if he'd be willing to talk on the phone. Now I understand why that would have been difficult.

I don't visit the forum nearly as much as I used too. It's not that I no longer enjoy it, it's simply that life tends to get in the way. I need to find more time!

RIP RC MODEL!

Very sad news. I have a couple recent posts, and have always been interested in what members like rcmodel and Jim K (and a lot of others) have had to say. He will be sorely missed, and I pray for rest for he and Wilma.
