if I were to per say be buying a 9mm for less than $700 what gun would you, the responder suggest and what price point would you say it's worth?
 
Glock 19 Gen 3. Worth about $500 give or take.

The Navy SEALs use it and it is often considered by many to be the "perfect" 9mm pistol in terms of size and versatility. Its reliability is legendary and while its capacity is excellent at 15 rounds and is very accurate in can be easily concealed.

Many will tell you it is the best "all purpose" 9mm in human history. I tend to agree.

You suggest an unreleased and completely unproven gun that "might be" better than a Glock? Interesting. I also am interested in the P10, but Ill wait to see one before I heap it with praise.

@ OP for me it depends on what trigger you like. For a DAO striker type, I prefer the Glock 17. For a SA/DA in that range I prefer a CZ 75.
 
OP doesn't say what the gun's purpose is but, if it's for carry, I haven't met an unhappy Glock 19 owner yet. I don't carry one myself but the guys I know who do, I respect their choice.

If it's a target gun then I'd go for the CZ 75B, I own several of them, all excellent shooters and all less than $700.
 
Depends on the use?
The same gun may excell in one thing and be crap in another. Or are you looking for a jack of all trades master of none?
 
So many great choices and different purposes for what you are asking. Everyone has their favorites. I have a G19 and I like it, but I carry Walthers....PPS and P99. Also own a PPQ which far outperforms my G19 in accuracy and general shootability. The ergos of the P99 especially, are outstanding. There are also the CZ guns. My PCR and P-01 also outshoot my G19, but are different animals being DA/SA. Then you have your full size guns like the Beretta 92 and CZ 75B. Some people like the Springfield XD. Some like M&P. Some the FNs and Steyers. There are the polymer Sigs. I'm seeing HK P30SK for less than $500 now. Many great options in that $500-$550 range.

Striker fired, ergonomic, reliable, very accurate, 15 rnd mags. Nuf said.
 
It depends on the purpose for the pistol. As a jack-of-all-trades, the G19 is awfully hard to beat. I love my Gen 4, but lots of shooters prefer Gen 3. If a pistol is intended for one specific use, whether CC, target, etc., there may be better choices. As to price, ~$500-ish? I haven't looked in a while.
