So Powder Valley is running a "No Hazmat" special on Shooters World Powders. Has anyone had any experience with this powder? Just got into 223, have run test rounds with H335 and Accurate 2230, both of which I liked. Just wondering if I should look at Lovex brand also since there is a no hazmat special on?

Beware of using obscure powders. If you develop a super load then can't get any more of the powder you have to start over on another powder. Been there, done that.

Well usually by now SOMEONE has chimed in that's used the stuff. So I think I may forgo the special and just order a lb of it on my next order to see what it does. Guess I'll stick with H335.

Lovex powders are used by quite a few people here in the UK. A lot of their powders are relabelled "Accurate" powders. For example, Lovex D060 is identical to Accurate 5744 and Lovex D032 is identical to Accurate #2. I've D060 for reduced .303 loads and have used D032 in gallery loads for .357 and .30 carbine. I've not heard of Shooter World Tactical Rifle powder but check to see which Accurate branded powder it is identical/equivalent to. If that powder is suitable for .223, then it might be worth trying to confirm that it is indeed equivalent to that powder.

NOTE: Just because I stated that the aforementioned powders are identical/equivalent doesn't mean you should substitute load data! Always consult the powder manufacturers load data, in this case, the manufacturer of Lovex powders is "Explosia".

Thanks for the reply. Here is link to the Tactical Rifle, http://shootersworldsc.com/tactical-rifle/
Already researched and found their load data, starting is around 17.4 gr. Just curious if others have used it. Like I posted, may just pick up a lb and see what it does, can always go back for more if I like it. I don't run competition so plinking/target is what it's main purpose will be.

This is from their site. That also has on-line data. They're an importer and distributor, not a manufacturer. Mind you, so is Hodgdon for a lot of their stuff.
Shooters World and LOVEX® propellants are manufactured by Explosia® Company in Pardubice-Semtín, of the Czech republic.
Lotta questionable statements on that "Tactical Rifle" page. "originally an OEM propellant" for instance. What Original Equipment Manufacturer?

Unfortunately no but thanks for the information and your time.

Arch,
Did some follow up out of curiosity. Here's reply "The hazmat will be removed when the order is invoiced."
They should have some how made it clear(er) when someone was ordering.

Thank you for the research. I'm surprised at them, they are usually very clear with their promotions.

I put several 8lb jugs if powder in my cart and went to check out. I stopped just before I paid because the hazmat was still showing on the page. You are right, they should have made it more clear because according to the check out my card was being charged for the hazmat.

Thanks again...

3k fps out of a 16 inch barrel is pretty good.
