Depends on the brand and type. SK Std+ runs about $50/brick, but SK Match Extra is about $80. Every brand has multiple levels of target ammo.

Yes, of course...

Aguila .22 Super Extra Standard Velocity, 40 grains, long rifle solid point, brick of 500.

That is about the average price I have seen. Finding prices is actually pretty easy, finding the stuff in stock is another matter. :) Would I pay that price? Yes, I would. What generally sucks is unless I find ammo I want locally on a shelf the shipping can be a PITA. Overall I like Aguila as it shoots well in several of my 22 rifles.

Without knowing the brand/type, I'd say it's at least fair. I haven't seen a brick in person under $40 in 5 years.

Define "brick" they come in different sizes and you also need to define the quality of .22 ammo you are looking to purchase.

a brick used to always mean 500 rounds. not so much anymore. so, e.g. $25/325 would clarify things greatly.

Right. I only say "brick" to mean a container of 500 rounds, preferably in the traditional 10 boxes of 50. (I bought some American Eagle that looked like a brick but the individual boxes only held 40, 400 total.) Bulk packs of 325, 333, and 525 I call "cartons."

One of the shopping sites breaks it down to cents per round, which is a clear comparison.

Depends on your location. Around the DFW metromess, Academy Sports has Federal 525 round value packs for $22.95. It shoots pretty accurately in my rifles/pistols.

They also have Aguila 40 gr std velocity for $3.99 for a box of 50. That's just under $.08 per round.
