Just picked up 6 boxes of 380 for 5 bucks each and I just missed the last of the 9mm for the same price. The guy behind the counter told me they are no longer carrying the brand and are selling the last of the stock off at 5 dollars a box. He made it sound like that $5 applied to all calibers.
This is good ammo to practice with in my opinion , have shot 4k of 9m through my xd without a problem.

I'd love to pick some up and I've seen clearance stickers at my local Walmart, but since it's been on clearance, I've not seen it in stock in any caliber.

Didn't know Wal-Mart was closing out its stock ... Perfecta makes perfectly decent range ammo; have not had any issues with a few thousand rounds shot (9mm, .45 ACP and .223). Will check my local store tomorrow, but since we've got a lot of savvy ammo-buyers in my area, I'm sure it's all sold out ...

Is this nation wide or just local for the store in you area.
Individual Wal Mart stores can have one heck of a sale on certain items .
For example a few years ago I bought $500 worth of rods and reels for $135.

I just stopped by the Walmart in South Bend. None on the shelves. Finally saw a couple guys stocking the shelves. Kid says yeah, we have some in the back. He goes and gets it. Says it's 9mm. I'm gonna take it anyway. They checked price and it is $5. And it's .380

I took all 15 boxes.

Thanks tons for the heads up

I've found Perfecta to be good ammo. It's Fiocchi, and seems to be to be as good as most anything else, better than a lot. Shoots clean, accurately, and reliably in the five 9-mm guns I've tried it in, and also in the .243 CZ 550 FS.

Walmart's closeout sales are bizarre. It makes no sense to drop the price to $5 a box. If they kept selling it at regular prices they would still sell it all in a week.

I've never seen any clearance pricing on ammo at Walmart. Of course my Walmart for the longest time hasn't had much in the way of ammo anyway. These days the ammo case is pretty full but not much in the way of 22 although bizarrely today when I look they had a half a dozen or so boxes of Winchester marked at $8 a box 50 rounds. I've never shot the Winchester 22 so even if the price was a whole lot better I probably wouldn't have bought it that $8 a box seems insane For What appears to be run-of-the-mill ammo. Usually they are at least competitive. The price on shotshells went back up to the normal $20 a hundred after last week when it was 17 something.

On the bright side eggs were $0.33 a dozen. A few months ago they were closer to $2 a dozen.

They had the same crazy closeout pricing on the ZQI and Tula Brass Maxx ammunition when they stopped selling those brands.

I'd like to know if it was a regional sale too. Just stopped by the local Walmart in Orlando. Only perfecta on the shelf was .380 , for $18.00 a box.

Just stopped by the SuperWalmart in this area; no Perfecta ammo, of any kind, on the shelves. Clerk said they hadn't had any for several weeks.

Damn that sucks, I like the Perfecta stuff and had been keeping an eye out for more .308.

Just today somebody on the Toledo area armslist posted a case, 20 boxes, of 380 Perfecta ammo for $210. Looks like they'll probably double their $.

Prefects is loaded by Fiocchi for Tula. I have 2000 rounds of 115gr 9mm put away for a rainy day, or if my son comes to get food for his guns.

Went to my walmart today to check it out. No perfecta ammo, but they had federal 9mm 115 gr brass cased. 100 rd boxes on roll back for $19 and some change.

I guess I'mma have to head to WM to see if they have any $5 boxes! I've shot a few hundred rounds of Perfecta 9mm and I like it just fine.

Yup, the Perfecta has been discontinued. The shelves at Walmart in my town in Ct. have empty of Perfecta for months except the other day a few boxes of 380 appeared. The employee I talked to at Walmart a few weeks ago told me Federal was bent out of shape they were selling Perfecta so cheap. So they made a deal to lower their(Federal's) prices. I too bought Federal 115gr. 9mm FMJ brass for $18 and change at "rollback" price. Bought 4 hundred rounds before that disappears too. Say what you want about their business practices of strong arming their suppliers, but it keeps the price down for us admittedly at the expense of the small businessman.

I have gotten into the habit of ordering my range ammo on line. I can get 1000 rounds of 9mm FMJ to my door for $185 to $220 depending on the flavor. Wally World has good prices but you can do better.

Not to brag, but I just bought 700 rounds of aluminum cased 9mm at $14.99/100 from Palmetto State Armory for $105(on sale from $15.99/100 usually). By going in with a buddy(who bought 7 boxes also), we got free shipping by ordering more than 10 boxes.

Since I don't reload and have a ridiculous pile of once shot brass in my basement waiting on me, I'm skipping brass these days and going for the cheap stuff.

My Walmart had some AL cased 9 mm a few months ago that was the same price. I bought one box of 100 but have not had a chance to shoot it yet.

I have not seen that particular ammo in their ammo case since. They seemed to have replaced it with a different brand of AL cased 9 mm that is a buck more, IIRC.

The ammo case at my Walmart is pretty full these days, but not much in the way of 22LR. They seem pretty competitive but no real bargains.

Brownells had a special a few weeks ago. 500 rounds of 9mm for $90 shipped. Brass case.

I buy a ton of my ammo from Freedom munitions both 380,9mm etc. You are looking at around $9.18 for a box of 50 and $7.99 for shipping over $99.00 for 9mm. Buy the way their once fired reloaded ammo shoots just as good as their New. They even tell you it is the better deal. Ammo is clean and Very accurate and very reliable. 380 is only $11.22 for a box of 50.

I also buy from Sportmens guide. There membership fee has paid for itself. You can get some super ammo deals of mixed brands on some really good sale prices, and of course members get a lower price with FREE shipping on orders over $75.00

But at $18.97 per 100 FMJ brass=less than $190 for 1000. I'll end up buying on line at some point but for this price I'll go to Wally World. Even Jeb if paying $7.99 shipping is paying more than that.
