Carnauba hard wax, available at your local auto parts store, Walmart, etc. Don't get the 'cleans as it shines' stuff, which contains abrasives.

Aw ontarget, I don't get all that worried about rust on my carry gun. We live out in the country, I carry a little revolver, work outside around the place almost every day, and I sweat. When I'm through at the end of the day, and sitting in front of the TV in the evening, I simply empty the revolver, wipe it off with a soft rag and blow the dust out of it, then I wipe it down with some of those Rem Oil wipes. I then wipe off the excess oil, reload it, and put it back in its holster for the next day. It doesn't get rusty.

Renaissance Wax is more durable (I understand) for carry and less messy than any grease or oil product. It's basically a hard carnauba wax.

If you're one of the unfortunate few with acidic sweat (like my son) you will struggle to remain rust free no matter what you apply. We finally solved his EDC rust issue by having his slide (lc9sPro) coated with KG Gunkote by xdman. I think it was $50 for the slide and we had the trigger done, too. No more rust, and very durable even in a kydex holster.

Cerakote works well, too.

Agreed. I've been using Johnson's paste wax since around 1970. It's that wax in the yellow can that's been sold forever and one can will last almost forever for most people.

Hard chrome. When the blued slide on my carry gun began to show rust down here in the steamy jungles, I swapped it out for a hard-chromed one.

However, I do sometimes carry other guns, though the one most-frequently carried (other than that one mentioned above) is stainless. I choose holsters with sweat guards, and keep the guns lightly-lubed with a CLP product. It seems to work for me.

Avoid allowing your pistol to contact your skin or first layer of clothing.
I've had sweat eat the nickel plate right off an EDC of mine. Some sort of
new holster might be in order.

My fix for your situation, if you sweat that much, is daily maintenance. Just wipe your gun off when you get home, use a lightly oiled (CLP or other protectant) cloth to give the gun some protection, and wipe it again with a dry cloth to get the excess. We're talking 2 minutes.

In addition to maintenance, a holster that doesn't hold moisture is a great idea. I (me) would stay away from leather.

I carried a Glock for years in a sweaty environment and never had a problem with rust. Whatever coating they use is wonderful. I use Eezox on my other guns and it seems to work fine.

All of the above to which I might add looking for guns which use stainless steel and have a polymer or aluminum frame.

When I have found rust on a gun I use Flitz to remove it and then protect it with RIG Gun Grease (short term), or Renaissance Wax (long term).

"...against sweat for a carry gun..." Using a holster. Leather needs to be waxed anyway. Said wax comes in the form of regular shoe polish.
However, your slide is not going to rust in the time you'd be carrying a firearm anyway. One assumes you 'd at least be wiping the thing down when you get home.

Out of hundreds of duty weapons, I have never seen a rusty Glock slide.

If you're going to use wax, make sure it has no abrasives in it and that it is PH neutral. I called Meguiar's and they confirmed that Gold Class Carnauba Plus Paste Wax has a neutral PH and no abrasives, and the customer rep told me that they get a lot of calls from gun owners.

eBay as well. On eBay filter search "lowest price plus shipping". Then go for the cheapest price for the size can you want. I like their screw top cans. They are convenient, quick and firmly closed the wax never dries out.
