ive had ZERO luck finding a steel toe (required for work), in black (another idiotic work requirement) that doesn't cause the bottoms of my feet to hurt. Currently I have doc martens, and they were alright for a while but back to being sore. Have a good orth insole in and everything. I'm sure part of the problem is I'm always on concrete, and or tile over concrete. Any suggestions?

I like Red Wing, and normally wear them as daily wear.

I was going to say Red Wings too.
If you don't get them, don't cheap out. I did that in high school working for my folks construction co. Omg it was awful as they hurt so bad.

Go to Red Wing or another reputable store that sells work boots and find what fits you best. I have a pair of steel toes that I wear when I ride my Harley that are as comfortable as a pair of good Nikes.

Been wearing thorogood boots for 10 years. American made, way more bang for the buck compared to redwing. FYI, you need to pay attention when buying redwing, not all made in the USA.

Some good suggestions here, but this isn't close enough to on-topic for THR to be left open.
