I have many different name brands of revolvers and semi auto's in my gun collection now,but the one i'm 100'% sure I will not add to it is the High Point semi auto,I just don't like the look about it. That may not be a mature way of buying a weapon, but it mines.:D

The Thunder 5, Taurus Judge, or S&W Governor.

They made a kind of sense under the odd legislative climate in Brazil where they were first popularized, but taken as a standalone entity here in the states where you can have revolvers in whatever cartridge you want, they don't seem to have any practical application where they do as good a job, in any role, as any of the other possible choices.

Now of course they're great fun, if shooting such a thing is fun for you, but I don't find it fun so that wouldn't be a good reason for me to own one.

Autos: Glocks. A few years ago, assuming my previous aversion to Glocks was the result of inexperience and naivatee, I had myself all ramped up to buy either a 19 or 17. I had the cash in my pocket, went to the LGS, picked one up and recoiled in disgust! I'll never own a Glock. I understand the appeal but they're just not for me.
Revolvers: I can't think of anything I'd completely rule out...

I would only take a CZ, any CZ, if it were free. And then only so I could trade it on something good.

I'm in agreement with the thumbs down on the guns listed in the first four posts. I would add the Walther P22 to that list as well.

I can't think of anything I wouldn't add to the collection if the price was right. That might mean free in some cases.

I've had CZ's in the past. Wouldn't go down that road again except under the above circumstances. Most over rated handgun on the internet. They have a small, but vocal following on the net, almost unheard of in the real world for good reasons.

WWII weapons used by the Axis powers, or the Russians.
John Banner (Shultz) from Hogans Hero's refused to carry a Mauser on the show, but agreed to a Krag instead- which could be accurate as well, given that captured Norwegian Krags were given to some rear echelon troops.
While I see your point, remember that the Nazis used any weapons that fell into their hands. Enfield's, Lebels, M1 carbines (among many others) were all Axis combat weapons at one point.
Also, many German and Russian WW2 small arms predate the Nazi and Communist parties by decades, and were used by other countries as well. Remington made Mosins, and just about all of South America used Mausers. Not many arms commonly available today could be exclusively and directly linked to an oppressive regime. Just sayin' :)
Oh, and I would never buy a Glock. Just don't like em, that's all.

Let’s not forget the HiPower was the only issued weapon used by both sides in WWII. The Brits were using the ones made in Canada by Ingles, and after occupying Belgian and taking over the factory, the Germans used the Belgian made ones. Herman Georring even carried one.

CZ, the Scientology of the Firearms world. Ken Hackathorn told me that in Europe, CZ is considered on par with how we think about Ruger pistols. He also said the P10c they sent to Larry Vickers to review was broken.

Ruger Blackhawk Convertible in 38/40 and 10mm.

It's not that I don't like them (I love them), but they are just so darn hard to find at a good price :(

I know there's a unfired serial matched set 32-20/32h&r and 38-40/10mm I have been looking at but for 3k no way.

No high points.

Anything striker fired, or with the "integral trigger safety". Companies copying glock's design need
to come up with a new, non-plagiarizing proprietary design of their own, instead of blatantly trying to ripoff glock's
market.

Not a fan of any of the Taurus copies, either.

Will never have one of those .410/.45 revolvers.
No Chiappa's either.
No Hi Points...
No .25ACP handguns.
What I will buy is more SA and DA revolvers, more 1911s and maybe a few DA autoloaders.
I think I need more Rugers, more S&Ws, more Uberti/Cimarrons and if I can find a good deal a couple more Colts.

I won't add an unfired NIB Colt snake gun or original S&W for the ridiculous prices they fetch. Same goes for commemorative guns. I buy guns to shoot and hold and use, not to reside in the darkest corner of the safe just so they can be sold off to someone else without me even shooting them.

Not to say I don't like the Pythons or a pristine M-29 .44 "Dirty Harry" piece, they're just waaaay to much $$ for me to sit on.
