I have four EDC carry guns. A 9x18 Makarov Polish P-64 and P-83, a Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm UC and a Bersa Thunder 380 Plus.
How many do all of you own as EDC weapons?

4 pocket guns and two non-pocket guns*. In reality, only 5 get in the carry rotation, but #6 can be as it is sized like #5.

I didn't mean to have that many carry guns when I got started. It was due to trial and error of figuring out what fits into what clothing, and cartridge availability at the time. For instance, I have two .32 ACP pocket pistols thanks to the .380 ACP ammo drought several years ago.

* in order of purchase - Taurus 85UL, NAA Guardian .32 ACP, Taurus TCP732 .32 ACP, Glock 36, CZ75DPCR, and Remington RM380. The PCR is the optional #6 carry.

They know us better than most but you had a say in the choice too.

I carry a number of different ones at different times but if you are carrying 4 pistols of about the same levels of power, at the same time, she is of sound mind.

I have two guns I carry very regularly, and a third I carry occasionally. I don't really see why 4 would be needed, but whatever makes you happy.

You do realize that even if you tell your wife that you are below average in carry gun ownership, she is likely to not care in the least. Why would she care what other people do? She cares what you do.

The way it's written, he says "I have" 4 EDC guns, he doesn't say he carries them all at once.

I have two, my ex service gun, a Glock 26, and a Ruger LCP. In reality, I generally only carry the LCP.

The Glock is too big for my pocket. A gun on the hip has a good chance of being seen, not so much if it's in your pocket.

I only have one edc piece. I have several that could be carried, but I am more comfortable being very familiar with one to actually carry.
I have been thinking about using one of the revolvers in the night stand, because it may be easier for my wife to utilize.

I have 5 small conceal carry sized guns, but I really only carry 2 of them: a NAA .22 around the house, and a j-frame when I leave the house.

Well...,I have a S&W 6904 for the rare occasions when I can get away with belt carry in SW FL, and a Govt.Model .380 on the ankle for all seasons.
If its jacket weather I'll carry both.

No, wouldn't say your nuts to have 4 carry guns. If your signature lists your complete handgun inventory then tell her to chill- youre not even on the nuts meter brother. :)

I suppose one could justify having 4 EDC guns if they were meant for each of the 4 seasons? Why not? Women have clothing for each season and if they are designer labels they could easily exceed the cost of an EDC gun.

One, I just carry my one Glock 26. I have other handguns that would be fine for concealed carry, but they just get time at the range.

I have several that I could carry, but only one that I do . It carry's well, shoots accurately, and is reliable. It is also a platform I am used to for the last 50 years.

Two carry guns.
Just bought a CZ-75 P 01 (Compact). You are fortunate to have discovered the P-83 (9x18). They are much more pleasant to shoot than the P-64, and also very rugged.

My wife doesn't Think, she Knows that I'm nuts.
We were married years before the gun bug first infected me, back in '07, then age 52.

I have conceal carry rigs for 5 pistols currently. I could easily add a 6th (wife's gun). I really only regularly carry 2 of them and currently pocket carry a backup at church.
Considering how well I shoot my wife's bersa thunder 380 I would be very curious about the thunder pro 9, although I suspect finding holsters might be a pain in the rear .

Does she think you're nuts because you have four carry guns?

Or because the four are ...
A 9x18 Makarov Polish P-64 and P-83, a Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm UC and a Bersa Thunder 380 Plus.
Are those four the answer to a thread titled "Help me pick a gun that will be tough to find parts for and that most folks wouldn't recognize if they were laying on a table in front of them."

I completely get having three G19's (carry gun, a training gun, and a back up) and maybe adding a G26 or two when you need to go smaller, and maybe a G17, or two, and a G34 or two, if you prefer something bigger for shooting at the range, but other than a possible fascination with odd guns I don't know what your selection gives you.

Let me add: I'm all for "odd-ball" guns. The more the merrier, but I'd probably not use them as "carry guns", and I wouldn't have a bunch of them (with a bunch of holsters for them) that I count on for primary personal protection.

My S&W 638 gets carried 75% of the time but I also carry an LCP and Shield. I have on occasion carried my SR9c and my SP101

Hey Armored, I like your selection specially the .357. Isn't that design on the grip reflecting the Masons?

Armored Farmer,

You are really calling into question my current plan to put in a row or two of Zucs next spring......those things must be not only prolific, but dangerous if you have to shoot them at harvest!

Actually I wonder if there might not be a freezer bag or two of grated ones from six years ago in the very back of the bottom of the freezer......... good meat loaf fixings that.

I checked 3 because its a nice number. Then remembers a few thing sin the safe that are pocketable but I seldom carry and like I said three is a nice number.
