The IMI mount came today. It fits the XDm just fine. If the pistol had another slot the mount could go back a bit more. I'll test it soon.

Was the mount tested on any other non-XD pistol rails?

I have tested my Mako Universal mount on both Glock 22 and Sig 1911 without looseness.

The IMI mount is not "sexy" or "racy" looking and is plastic but mine seems to work fine but I haven't given it a 500 round range session yet.
Just wish it was a little taller so the slide could come off without removing the mount. Wouldn't take that much more for the rear sight to clear.
Back is shaped perfect for Sig trigger guard..
(Sig P226 Dark Elite)

Hopefully it will work for you on your XDm.

Price is right.

Seems well made and sturdy, and it has two cross bolts instead of one like the Mako.

I need to check that on the XDm.

The XDm as well, but the guns rail needs another slot for the mount to move back against it.
Hopefully it will work for you on your XDm.
Thanks, I'm optimistic. If it does, I may even try a scope instead of a dot.

I went to the range with the XDm and the IMI mount this morning. I shot it at the 25 yard berm and it was low but seemed OK left to right. Then I shot at the target I set up at 10 yards, sloppily at first, and low. Then I adjusted the red dot the wrong dadgum way and went off the paper low. Shot it at the berm to double check. *Sigh* Yep, I adjusted it the wrong way.

I re-adjusted the Ultra Dot sight, got back on paper, settled down and concentrated on gun/trigger control, and then worked it up, one shot, adjust, one shot, adjust, until it was a hair high, then adjusted it back down a hair, shot twice, and they were touching and almost dead center on the target. Then I shot at a plastic bottle cap on the berm and I don't know if I actually hit it, but was close enough to send it flying. Nice. I like this mount. As in, Bingo! We have a winner!

While the IMI mount is plastic/composite/polymer/whatever, it is well made, stiff, looks good, fits the rail great, and has two cross bolts instead of one like the Mako that would not stay put on my particular XDm.

Oh, and the slide will come off without taking the mount off. :)

The rear sight(Sig "Combat" adjustable night sight) on my P226 Dark Elite is just a bit to tall:cuss:
Glad it seems to be working out for you, and I am glad your rear sight clears.
(I was worried about--- what was that silly dog thinking:))
So apparently some rear sights will clear and some won't.
Not bad piece of gear for the price, the cost of a couple fast food burger lunches.
May need to try a red dot on mine.

As for it being plastic, nothing wrong with plastic done right, I own two XDs:D

PS: Thanks to vaalpens for suggesting it to me.

preacherJohn,
did you get your WAOAW scale?
If so , how is it working out for you?

Don't know if it is battery or AC. I have a Frankford DS750 (battery) and when the batteries get weak it behaves a little weird.
If it is battery powered and starts acting strange check the batteries.

Yes I did, it came Friday. I haven't weighed any loads on it yet, but I did calibrate it. It came with a 50g calibration weight and it weighs out 50g's. I weighed the one I already had which is a 20g and it was right on. Then I threw a 124gr FP on it and it was right on the money. I checked it on my 5-0-5 and it was correct. It's really fast too. I'll play around with it a little more this coming week, but for now it seems pretty good and really reasonable on price.

My Gem Pro 250 is batt/AC. It's never had a battery in it, it's always been plugged into the wall. It never read like this WAOAW does. And if you ever trickled with the GP250, you had to wait forever for it to catch up. It made working up loads a real pain in the backside. Oh, the WAOAW is battery only.

How do you like that XDm? I have one just like yours in .45acp. I added a Crimsom Trace green laser and it became my bedside gun. Look closely at the trigger on mine. That conversion took that gun from an "alright gun" to a "best shooter in my collection" gun. xdm.jpg

I really like the trigger on my plain XDm in 9MM, it's very nice, and it's better than the trigger that came on my newer XDm OSP (The answer to the mount that kept coming loose) I did upgrade the OSP with a Powder River trigger group. You're right, they're really really nice.

Yeah, mine pulls in just a tad over 4lbs, and I love that trigger stop on it also. My wife is having a birthday in a few weeks and I'm thinking about surprising her with an XDe to put in the "gun totin' mama" purse I already bought her.
