I see in my Basspro sale paper. They have the p365 for 529.99.
Has anyone seen them cheaper cheaper.?

Check out gun.deals or wikiarms for good prices.

Looks like Brownells had them for $480 and now has them for $500.

I guess it depends on tax and FFL fees.

Before rushing out to buy the P365 you might want to watch this youtube video- it's one of at least 6 I've watched that detail problems with the first shipments of these guns. Doesn't look like Sig has worked all the kinks out of its reliability issues yet.
In doing my research on this gun, I also came across youtube videos detailing the problems our military is experiencing with the P320 as well. You might remember that Sig offered a "voluntary" recall of over 500,000 P320's to citizen customers to have problems with the triggers fixed.
I've shot other models of Sig's and really like the earlier designs (may be in the market for a P220 since I need to replace a full-sized 45acp in my gun collection)-but don't think I want to "beta test" this model for sig and end up sending it back for repairs.
I think I'd place this gun in a "buyer beware-new untested design" category for the time being.

I'm waiting for the 'gen 2' myself. Then likely I'll buy one (or two) :) I skipped the 320 because I have several / many p226's and p229's that work perfectly.

I have an updated one. Flawless for 500 rounds. I have an ammo can full of mixed ammo... From aluminum cased Blazer to +p+ hollowpoints. 400 rounds of randomly loaded mixed ammo and 100 rounds of Federal 124 Hst. No problems at all... NONE

Great trigger, manageable recoil, accurate. I have 2 12 round mags ordered. This gun is a G43 and G26 killer as well as every other single stack 9 killer.

I am on a short list and am very happy to beta test one for them. Hear that Sig?

I have been happily carrying a SIG P938 for many years (7 rounds). Once the dust settles on the P365, I might consider giving it a look. I am a pretty big SIG fan, although I am not really a striker fired guy, for an EDC it might be just the ticket.

JR, don't you just love these nebulous generalized statements that are stated as if they apply to everyone?

Yep, the Sig 365 makes my small Glock obsolete, my 1911s are too heavy and recently the Glock 19x I covet is no good for civilian use, let alone CCW!

I actually handled a 365 this weekend and, yes, too skinny and small for me. Though how they managed 10 rounds in it is quite a feat.

Gonna be real hard to beat what smith has done with the shield. If the 365 is as shootable and handles as well as the shield, I will retract my statement but thus far, the shield shoots hands down better for me than any other comparable size handgun, and 3 extra misses mean nothing.

I'm more of a super slim 9mm kind of guy. I'll be fine with my budget priced Ruger EC9S. 3 less rounds but didn't crack the $250 mark.

I think the 320 platform is fantastic. However, it'll be a few years before I pluck 365 money down over a 320 in a nice holster or even the pocketbook friendly Ruger I mentioned.

Glad y'all like yours though:)

I agree with everything you say in this post. The Shield is the standard that has to be beat IMHO, although I don't own one, I have shot one. I am not a Glock guy, so I cannot comment on the small Glocks, although there are enough comments on them in these P365 threads to have them covered.

We need to get the revised gun out in the field for some more testing.

I was at Cabella's yesterday and just for fun asked at the counter if they had seen any yet, and of course the answer was "no".

I am in no rush at all, but will certainly check them out once the evolve out of the "unobtainium" stage.

I have not shot my 365 yet, but I like it better than the Shield so far. It is slightly thicker, but just enough to it not feel skinny. I really like the angle cut on the magazine base plate. The magazine well and the magazine base plates could be more chamfered, though.

I just keep coming back to the fact that my XDs with the largest back strap is the most comfortable compact gun I've handled or shot. As I look at the size comparisons, I suspect the 365 will just be to small for me. I guess I'll look for one to handle.

I currently have a PPS. When i get the chance I'd really like to do a side by side comparison. Obviously the capacity is higher, but I'd really like to see how different the other dimensions are. But really, the big hold back for me wiil be the mag release button, as I like the paddle release.

I'm waiting very patiently for the issues to get worked out of the P365. From what I've watched on video, this is a very well designed carry pistol that I believe will work very well with a thin Kydex holster, as it will be my first time moving to Kydex from leather. I want the lightest and thinnest possible 9mm with good capacity for carry. Gotta be 100% reliable, highest quality and no issues! Ya hear that Sig? ;)

I think it's also the most attractive of the subcompact, 1"-wide 9mm CCW pistols. I paid about $590 for mine, but that was because I was at a LGS paying sales tax. They'll price match against the internet list price, but no one online had it in stock, so I gave in to temptation and bought the last one they had. Firearms manager said he'd sold about 20 of them so far. List price was about $550.

JR,

Don't you just love responses to posts that do nothing to add any information to a thread and the poster acts as if they are rising above it all with their clever wit and lack of understanding what the word "nebulous" means?

VBA,

My post contained a description of my actual real experience and my opinion. While you might have used the word "subjective" to describe my opinion, you can't call my comment "nebulous" when in fact it was neither vague, imprecise, or confused.

Words mean things.

These boards would serve no purpose if at least some of us did not share our experience (real events) and opinions (subjective thoughts) on questions asked.

I responded to the responses that were painting the gun (rightfully) as having some initial teething pains. My new, updated gun has been perfect. So, my response is relevant to the direction the thread took.

I am on a list (#26) for $515 at my LGS. I stopped in yesterday to pick up some powder and I asked if they were getting any 365's in at all. They received 12 last week so some are being shipped. How often they get a shipment? No one knows for sure but at least I am moving up the ladder.

May want to take a quick glance in the mirror pal.

BASS near me had 5 before I knew about them. Sold out in 30 minutes. Hottest gun right now, and no one around here knows when (or if) they'll get any

Just today went to my LGS and paid for mine !!.

Need to add it to my CCW to pick it up,will do that Monday !.

So looking forward to running about 200+ rounds through her and then strapping her on.

Will post the results here afterwards.
