Never had a pig chew a camera before. But I’ve had them rub against the tree the camera was on and knock it off. Post pics of his lack of intelligence .....if you get him.

I have a fox that would check my camera nightly. I put a lock on it because i was afraid he would open it and steal my SD card. .

I honestly did have one. He would walk by and stare at it and being a cheap camera i had no clue what it was. Each night he would come closer and closer until he would start smelling it and i would get up-close pics of him and his whiskers. Now he does it every single evening and i eventually got a daylight picture of him and his mate.

I had a gray fox who would come up to the end of our walkway every evening and bark that coughing sound they make. She would keep it up until my wife or I came to the door and saw her. After she saw one of us, she proceeded to the cow tank and drank her fill.
Sadly, some farm pickers on the next property shot her about a year afterwards.

I actually enjoy seeing them. We have a lot of coyotes around and i despise them but fox are okay in my book. I honestly don't think i could shoot one. As i get older i give a lot more things a pass even if its a coon in the trash can id rather trap it and relocate or scare it away but something about a coyote that just burns me. I guess I'm tired of finding farms laying dead picked apart. I actually have a fox on camera about 5 miles down the road from the one who visits the camera so that tells me there is a healthy population of them.

Sorry but in my area the fox are thick and this hits the rabbit and quail populations hard...., so if I see one that stands still long enough....

Believe it or not, foxes are protected in Florida. I can see it for the native gray fox but red fox were imported by fox hunters who just run them with dogs .. no killing.

I had a road-killed red fox mounted many years ago. The local game warden tried to write me up for killing it. There was no proof except the mounted fox so he dropped the investigation.

"That dang big hog chewed the antenna off my camera and rubbed mud all over it...."

If he's that smart, maybe it wasn't mud. lol

Ol' Spotty, subject of my post in Flintknapper's pinned post on hogs, thought he was smart. He'd be coming in at 8pm, I'd go out there, he's not show up. This has gone on off and on for 6 months. Well, last night I showed him who's the smarter, predator or prey. I didn't find him until this morning, though, so he feeds the buzzards.
