Is this guy on crack!!!??

I have never watched the guys hunting show but he just called himself a trophy hunting, backstrap assassin and rambling a bunch of other incoherent stuff. lol. I have to say ill never watch it again. Boiler room, backstrap assassin, boiler room penetrator gold tip. I love to hunt but I give the utmost respect to the animal and don't agree with all that b.s. this idiot was rambling.

TBH this is the first time I've watched any of his stuff. I don't do a lot of tv except before bed cause it helps me fall asleep and now I get outdoor channel in the room. I turned it on and said eh, I've never heard watched this guy before. I did some googling on him and see he's a big 2a guy and musician but 45min ago I only knew he sang the Fred bear song! Good for him on the 2a stuff but that hunting show was terrible! Now I'm watching some blonde in a tree stand with lip gloss and ear rings and eye shadow gut shoot a deer with 3/4 the arrow hanging out of it!

Man does outdoor channels hunting shows suck! Lol.

But I bet that blonde is pretty... kinda like every other show, ya ain't getting on tv looking like the north end of a southbound hippo, no matter how good you are at something.

Now I have to go listen to some atrocity on the other end of the rock spectrum to balance things out... Journey...when the lights go down in your citaaaaayyyyyyyy and the sun shines on the baaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy.
I have to agree, that would be the opposite of Uncle Ted.

#3 To fall asleep, I put on a DVD of some movie I saw as a kid with Mom, Dad and brother Jeff at the drive-in with the sound down at mumble level (The Giant Claw, Alligator People, X the Unknown).

I can't imagine trying to fall asleep to Ted Nugent. It would be like waking up to Zardoz.

People and entertainment is a matter of taste, but I actually like what I've seen from Ted.

He's a passionate, outspoken supporter of the second amendment.

He's an ambassador for hunting.

He shows himself and his friends and family safely using firearms for legitimate reasons (defense, hunting, fun).

I've never seen him disrespect any animal on the shows I've seen. In fact, just the opposite. Just because he uses different terms than you, or gets more excited than you, doesn't mean he's disrespecting the animal.

I love how he refers to every hunt as "meat, sport, trophy, fun". He does a good job of trying to squash the negative out of the term "Trophy hunting". The anti-hunters love that phrase. They love that when they use it, they are implying that the hunt is only for the trophy...the antlers, the taxidermy, etc. The anti hunters try to create the idea that "Trophy hunting" wastes meat, etc. Ted seems to be on a mission to get the word out that every hunt can be a trophy hunt, even if the trophy is a small animal. I killed a tiny 2x3 mule deer this past year (only deer I had a good chance at) and it was a trophy for me. It was fun, it was sport, my family is still eating it, and it was a trophy for me and the skull will be displayed.

My buddies and laugh at how he rambles on thanking his sponsors but that's almost part of his shtick now and he even laughs a bit at himself when he's doing it.

I say lighten up and be happy that someone with a public voice is stepping up for our rights as gun owners and hunters.

You will actually find quite a few people on here who don’t like him. Apparently he’s done some pretty shady stuff. And he’s definitely a little “different”.

My two favorite shows are “Pig Man” and “Relentless Pursuit”.

Brian Quaca “Pig Man” is very up front. “If you don’t like what I’m doing, change the damn channel”. He’s a strong supporter of our military and law enforcement. He takes those guys hunting a lot. And he loves kids. He gives his camera men and the people facilitating his hunt a bunch of crap. But it’s always in good fun.

Tim Wells “Relentless Pursuit” is an amazing archer. Any man that can shoot doves and ducks out of the air with a compound, instinctive, with fingers, is pretty damn impressive. And he hunts with everything. From Baboons and rabbits with blow guns, water buffalo with a spear, and everything in between.

Oh, and “Red Arrow”. Kip Campbell is hilarious. And he’s a pretty good hunter too. If he sucked it up, he’ll tell you. If he makes an excuse as to why he missed, it’s always so off the wall (on purpose) so that you obviously know he’s lying.

But I have to say that there are a lot of shows I don’t care to watch.

I lost any respect for Ted as a hunter a few years back when he ran a show of him hunting wild goats with a bow in Hawaii. Him, his guide and his crew were walking around in the open and couldn't get within 100 yards of the goats, So he just starts throwing arrows at them, with a wish and a prayer, hoping to stick one.....all the time telling us how we need to respect our quarry. Wasn't a year or so later and he was nabbed in California for shooting deer illegally. Ol' uncle Ted is a shooter.....not a hunter.

I haven't seen Pig man in years. I always liked watching him cause its get down to business and no smoked em, rambling junk.

I have never seen the other two shows. I will have to keep an eye out for them. :)

Most of these bow hunting outdoor shows i watch do just that IMO. The one last night with the blonde girl (Pat & Nicole) she shoots a buck and I'm 90% sure it was a gut shot cause it looked pretty far back and only like 1/4 of the arrow was in the deer. IDK if it was too far away, too light an arrow or what but 99% of these hunting shows the arrow never passes all the way thru the deer. I watched Tom Miranda shoot a bison the other night at like 70yards. There is no way in hell anyone should ever try that. I guess when you can just sit back and turn off the camera and let your "guides" do all the work it doesn't matter.

You might not like his shows, which have some "tongue in cheek" humor...like the time his model wife picks up a piece of deer scat and popped it into her mouth, and tells Ted how long it's been to the minute since the deer crapped....

BUT I found his book Kill It and Grill It was pretty good on game recipes.

The creator of Doube Live Gonzo is a bit Bombastic

maybe not everyone’s spokesmen but when he says the 2nd amendment is all the CC license we need I’m a fan.

Great White Buffalo is best Nuge song, I saw him several times in the 70’s before he did the bow and arrow thing on stage

Well Brian was in a really bad wreck in Colorado a couple years ago. Almost killed him (like really). And he lost the use of his right eye. So he had to learn to shoot his rifle left handed. He still shoots his bows right handed but his accuracy suffers sometimes. But he’s still the same ole Pig Man.

Kip does these spots for his sponsors. But they aren’t like normal spots. They are usually done in an outtake style. And they are seriously funny.

Just watch the intro to Relentless Pursuit and you’ll see how good Tim is with a bow.

Pat and Nicole are nice people. Pat (may still) hold the record for the largest buck ever taken on camera. But usually the women (not always) have issues with their shot placement and arrow penetration. That’s why I don’t watch them. Hunters aren’t perfect archers. But these people are supposed to be professionals.

The problem with Ted is, He does say some really GOOD things about hunting and guns...

BUT

He also says some really BAD things in general, about guns and hunting, and that balances all the good out...

Personally, I don't like him...

Not every hunter is going to do everything the way we think it should be done. I don't care for Ted's music but he certainly supports what most of us here should believe in. Anyone who says that every shot they took was perfect is a liar. If you hunt sometimes bad things just happen. The difference between the hunters on the shows and us is that they air their mistakes so that we can sit back and be holier than thou.

By the way boys, women represent the largest growing demographic in hunting.

I like him , but I don't think he is the person that we want representing us on gun rights . I thought he did a good job on the Piers Morgan show though . I would like to hunt with him on his or my property .

I saw him in concert for the first time a few years ago and he still puts on a good show .

I love Uncle Ted! He's a patriot and is passionate about what he does. It takes a lot of courage to do what he does while in the industry he's in.

Tim Wells is a recent discovery of mine and I really enjoy his show. Watched a couple of recorded episodes yesterday.
