As far as dedicated .40 S&W's ...

2 p229's with absolutely GREAT triggers for EDC.
S&W p226 Legion ... NIB
2 S&W 4006 (one CHP, one not, both with nice Hogue grips)
Another p229 used only for practice.
2 Gen 1 G27's and a Gen 1 G22

I also have 2 S&W M&P full size that were originally .40's but now sport 9mm bbls.

One is none, two is one!

These are my only two Glocks at this time, dumped three Glock 17's for those two and a Colt Combat Commander .45acp.

I'm a big fan of the .40, it's been my favorite cartridge for a number of years even though I've tried about everything out there at one point in time (or 3 or 4 times) or another. I pack/carry a G27 and my bigger .40 is a G22, both Gen4 models. I have one of the 4" Springfield EMP models on layaway, just to try something a bit different.

No, .40 SUCKS, remember? James Yeager said so. 10mm is a far manlier cartridge. And while everyone is at it, I'll buy up your crappy .40 for considerably less than what you paid for it because it sucks and you don't want it taking up valuable space.

I have a Ruger SR40. I've had it for a few years. I gave about $100 more then than they are selling for these days. That is a Simply Rugged holster for it. Its a decent gun. I don't shoot it much any more after acquiring others that I enjoy more.

Here are my two .40’s,
My Beretta 8040 and my Glock 27.Both are great shooting handguns and both used as CCW’s Never would sell either.
The revolver is my S&W Model 36

On my night stand for about 20 years now , I take it to the range only once, every month or two, so not of my range guns.
Bought this SIG 229 new in 1996 and it has never had a failure of any kind. I am not a big 40 S&W fan, but really love this gun.

does the others shoot more accurate then the ruger sr40? because mine is tight on target the original trigger 7/6.5 lbs does hurt the grouping if yah put a ghost 3.5 lb 08410-ghost-inc-glock-3-5-lb-trigger-connector-fits-all-glock-models-generations-ghost_connector.jpg in i bet you would go back to shooting it more

I'm not a big fan of .40S&W, but I have a few guns in it: Beretta 96D Brigadier, H&K USP-C, H&K P2000SK, M&P full size. I think the 96D is probably the most accurate, even though it is the heaviest and has an insanely long trigger pull. However, I like the H&K P2000SK most as it fits the hand nicely and looks good.

I've been super happy with my hk usp 40c. I also have a pair of eaa witness full steel wonder finished 10mm pistols with 40 barrels. Feeding reliability hasn't been great on those.

If I got another 40 I would consider the full sized hk usp 40.

Negative. The 96D Brigadier is DAO and has no manual safety and has a hammer that is flush with the rear of the slide. Basically, every trigger pull being long is the defacto safety. The non-D variant in the YouTube that you posted is DA/SA.

oh my bad its a hammerless View attachment 790181 double action only
i didnt know they made them

Yep, that's more like it. I prefer the DA/SA and have a 92FS DA/SA that has a great SA trigger, but you can often get the 96D models for a good price because many are used police guns.

Beretta, similar to H&K, has tons of sub-models/variants for both the 92 and 96 series of pistols (safeties, no safeties, decocker only variants, etc). It gets confusing!
