For the .38 Super

That's what I was afraid of, plenty if good guns but nothing on the smaller side for the 38 Super. I guess I'll give up on a small carry gun in that cartridge. I'm just too spoiled now to go back to a 1911 size and weight gun for carry lol.

Colt have made Lightweight Commanders in .38 Super from time to time, if weight is the concern. A quick search found a Talo version for sale at Bud's and I'm sure there are others.

Thank you Sir, I will look into it... but I was really looking for something other than a 1911.

That Witness is gonna be pretty heavy too. All steel frame.

A bobtailed Colt LW commander 38 super would make a fantastic carry piece.

That was nice of you but I did look and if you check your link you will see that "used" Witness in NOT in stock.
I only grabbed the first link that popped up. They are out there though and the conversion kit is also available new to mount on whatever frames you find.

All the talk about ammo availability and still reloading is the cheapest ammo choice. For those who believe a lawsuit will destroy them after a gunfight using home rolled ammo (Which I strongly doubt) practice with the reloads and carry the high priced "Killer" commercial ammo.

I'm still on my first box of expensive commercial "Tactical" ammo, because after all shootouts are exceedingly rare. You can buy bullets in most common shapes so once you know your carry ammo is reliable you can duplicate the feel and shoot thousands of rounds a year at about half the cost or less.
